Alisia stood in the presence of all the generals who were all staring at her and whispering amongst one another.
"The great Witch of the East huh? Well with you on our side we should be able to win this war for sure," said General Marcus confidently.
"Well I shall leave you in the capable hands of General Marcus, and Edward I need to speak with you," said Queen Karina. Alisia was now a bit nervous, she was on her own.
"Ok Witch, I shall let you know what we are doing so far; we found out that the Spirits are planning an attack from the door to the Spirit World and are going to strike in a couple of days, so we are getting ready warships and soldiers and weapons. And we are also discussing on where to attack them from, we are sort of trapped in the Main Land so we can only attack from where we currently are," explained General Marcus as he pointed to locations on the big map.
"Wait, they're going to attack from the door to the Spirit World?" clarified Alisia.
"Yes that's right," said General Marcus.
"That's not good; my friends are heading to the door of the Spirit World to save someone who was captured," said Alisia anxiously.
"Don't worry Witch, the Spirits don't hide what they're doing very well, they will see their plans and head straight back for here," said General Marcus.
"You can call me Alisia, I'd actually prefer it," said Alisia,"
Meanwhile on David and Crispin's journey away from the Main Land, they were still travelling across the hills searching for the door to the Spirit World, having no idea about the consequences their journey had. They trudged up the hills with beads of sweat dripping off their foreheads.
"Are you sure you are going the right way?" puffed Crispin.
"Yes, I know what I'm doing I'm not an idiot," said David breathlessly back.
"I'm just saying because Alisia said..." said Crispin trying to catch his breath.
"Alisia, you realise how much trouble she caused us? She put us in unspeakable levels of danger, we could have been killed because of her yet you consider even listening to her now?" barked David.
"I don't think you're seeing the point, yes she may have put us in danger but she protected us nevertheless and she was helping us, and frankly, if she wanted to harm us I think she would have done it a while back," yelled Crispin.
"I think she harmed us a long time ago," said David in a voice that was nearly a whisper.
"I miss mum too but we can't hold on to the past we have to do what we came here to do," encouraged Crispin. David nodded.
They carried on walking up the hills to their destination. They had travelled approximately nine miles and it wasn't far to the doorway to the Spirits. Just then in the distance, David could see something moving.
"Stop, hide," whispered David and he grabbed Crispin's arm and pulled him down. They hid behind a large hill and waited.
"Why are we hiding?" asked Crispin as he pulled his arm out of David's firm grip.
"Shhh," hushed David. "I saw something moving in the distance and judging by what we have experienced so far on this journey, I don't think it's particularly pleasant," whispered David. "Ok, we'll look slowly in three, two, one, now," and they both poked their heads above the hill they were hiding behind to get a look at what David saw. When they did so, they saw a small figure moving towards them in the distance. As it moved closer the figures began to multiply.
"What are they?" said Crispin squinting at the figures.
"It's an army. The Spirits are invading the Main Land. We have to get back quickly," said David and pulled Crispin to his feet and they ran as fast as they could back to the castle.
"We have to warn them that the Spirits are invading now," said David as they ran back to the castle. They looked over their shoulders. The army of spirits were getting closer. David and Crispin tried to run faster and faster but the Spirits were becoming closer.
They ran over the hills that they had previously come from. The castle was in view and not too far away. Just then Crispin tripped over a large rock that was in their path. Crispin yelled in pain. David looked back and saw his brother on the ground, he ran back to help Crispin.
"Are you ok?" asked David kneeling down next to Crispin.
"No," said Crispin sitting up. "I think my ankle is broken," said Crispin rubbing his ankle.
"Come on, we have to try and get back to the castle, I'll help you," said David. He helped Crispin up on his feet and put his arm around his shoulder and they headed back to the castle at doable pace.
