Melancholy

I paced around my room in anger, I don't know the reason to my frustration but I am sure it's link to a certain blue eyed man. He ignored as if I wasn't there or as if he wasn't the one who confessed his undying love for me few years ago. Did he forget it all?

"Huh, what I could I expect from men!" I huffed as I crossed my arms across my chest. Agatha came in the room with her huge grin that didn't left her face the moment her eyes fell on that blue eyed men.

"Princess Leonora, it's time for you to get ready for the big feast" she said and I groaned put loudly as I glared at her. Ofcourse my father, the King announced a big feast for the night, in order to celebrate the great victory.

"I know!" I huffed as I glared hard at her, I don't know why she is annoying me since morning.

"But first I want to have tea!" I ordered and she motioned a servant to go get my tea. I took my seat beside the window and I felt her standing beside me.

My eyes fell on certain blue eyed man, talking to an old man. He didn't smiled for even a second, the hard lines on his face are telltale that he hasn't smiled for years. He is changed, he is no longer the lanky boy but a muscular man who's very gesture shows intimidation and ask for respect. Maybe years of spending your time in War does this to a man.

"He is so handsome, isn't he?" Gushed Agatha beside me, and I glance her way in irritation to see her eyeing Ares as if he is and eye candy. I so wanted to gouge her eyes out but then I asked myself why I am reacting like that. He is nothing to me or ever will me maybe it's just his ignorance that is bothering me. Ignorance is something that I can't bear even if it's from someone I don't like.

"Oh how I wish he would look at me with those beautiful blue eyes!" Agatha swooned and that was the last straw. I stood and close the curtains with a jerk as I glared at her.

"If you ever so talked about him or complement him in my presence, I will have your head for it, understand?" I bellowed and she instantly looked down and nodded.

"I apologize princess!" She said, she is a good servant maybe sometimes a good friend but there are times when she tests my patience.

"Now make sure my dress is ready!" I ordered as I sat at the chair in the sitting area on the far right side of my room. My room is huge and beautiful with everything in dull and beige colors just the way I like.

Rory, the other servant give me my tea, after half a hour of toning down my frustration l stood to get ready for the night. At first I didn't want to make an effort and just get over with the night but then I think otherwise. I have to look pretty!

I wore my new sage green dress that I haven't worn till now. Rory was binding the strings of my corset as another servant Molly worked on my face, she dabbed it with powder and placed some red liquid on my lips so they would look rosy.

After few hours when I was satisfied with my books I made my way downstairs towards the feast Hall. As I reached near the double doors, the guard outside announced my name before I went inside. The hall was swarmed with all the high ranks and the warriors who returned from the war.

There was a huge table in the middle which had about 100 chairs. All of them looked towards me as I walked inside. Kind and Queen are yet to make entry but evryone else was already here. I made my way towards the front, while curtesying some high ranks who moved infront of me to greet me.

I fell someone's hard gaze on me but when I looked up most of the people were looking at me so I couldn't pinpoint whose gaze was it. My eyes unconsciously moved around the room to find someone and I couldn't found him in the sea of people.

As I was about to sit, the King and Queen were announced so I remained standing as the King and Queen walked inside in all their glory. I want to scoff at the way my mother was fake smiling at all the people bacise deep down I know she care little for these people. One day when I will be a Queen I would never be like her!
