"I want you to come back before your birthday, make sure of it!" My mother said sternly and I couldn't help but nod. I will do whatever I want to do but she doesn't have to know that right now!
"There are still three weeks left for my birthday!" I said but she only gave me a scolded look.
"Alright! We should leave!" With a forced smile, I turned around and hugged my father who was giving some instructions to Ares.
"Take care of her!" He told Ares for the nth time.
"Father if you don't trust him enough you can send someone else with me!" I quipped at which Ares glared at me taking the insult to his heart.
"No princess Leonora, it's not him I don't trust," Father said softly whereas I frowned.
"Then?" I asked but as soon as I asked I knew the answer and I narrowed my eyes at my father.
"Father, are you saying you don't trust me?" I felt a little angry. He shrugged lightly but didn't say anything. I crossed my arms with a huff and I saw Ares smirking a little. I threw a glare his way and then walk down the carriage.
My belongings are already placed inside the carriage. Agatha, Molly and Rory are coming with me along with 20 soldiers and Ares, their leader. All of the soldiers will be on the horses until we reached port from where we will sail.
As I was about to step inside the carriage a hand came in front of me to help me inside. I was about to take it until I realize who it was and rolled my eyes at him as I stepped inside without taking his help. It was difficult with my huge gown but I was able to keep my pride intact as I slid down the cushioned seat.
When I looked back to give him a winning smirk, my smirk vanished when I saw Agatha's hand in his as he helped her inside and she was blushing like a teenager. When she sat in front of me I glared at her hard and she instantly sobered up. Then I glared at Ares who by now was closing the door and turned away without so even a glance my way.
The whole way I was trying to reign my anger in, I am meeting Lilith. My best friend, Be happy! I told myself again and again until I felt good.
By the time we reached port which was three hours away from the Palace, I dreaded what is about to come. I have always travelled by carriage and it would be the first time when I would be on a ship. I am afraid of the sea and now I would be on it.
The carriage stopped and the door was opened by a soldier, Thomas, Ares's friend. First, he helped Molly out of two carriages who was also blushing. What's wrong with my servants? Fine, I admit Thomas is good looking but still... with a roll of my eye I watch all three of them get out and it was my turn.
I was about to take his hand when a voice from behind stopped me.
"Thomas our Princess doesn't need any men's help while getting out of the carriage, right Princess?" He said with a smirk and I know he was teasing me. My anger flared and I pulled my hand as I stepped out with great difficulty while gathering my gown in my hands. Agatha stepped towards me to help me but I stopped him with a glare.
"You are right Guard!" I hissed and call him with a title that I am sure he doesn't like. He is a Warrior and the head of the army, but it felt to see him pissed at my use of a low title for him. I know he is one of the nobles and is well respected but still, I can't seem to meet an eye to eye with him.
"Let's go!" He ordered as he start walking towards the Harbour and I saw a huge ship in the water. That must be the one for us, I thought!
As I walked towards the ship I saw many people stop to watch me, few kids were waving their hands at me as their mothers were telling me about who I am! They were bowing with respect as I have them smile.
