Ares's POV..

It's been months since she has gone, it's been months since I am looking for her. I haven't left any city or village nearby. I had gone to each and every house looking for her but it's like she had disappeared.

I haven't gone back to castle since then, I promised the King and Queen that I will only return when I will find her. We have reached 100th city and she is not here either.

"Where are you, my love?" I whispered painfully.

"Commander!" I heard a voice behind me. I wipe my face free from any emotion and turned around and frowned when I saw Thomas. I have left him back at the Palace to take care of things in my absence.

"Why are you here?" I asked him sternly. What was so important that he has to come here himself instead or sending someone else.

"A letter has come by for you at the castle and..." He paused and I looked at him.

"I didn't want to open it but few others letter came from the same address and I thought it must be important so I opened one of them and..." He paused fishing out the stack of letters from his pocket.

"It's from someone named Matilda and she had claimed that Princess is with her, I am sorry I didn't open it before..." He was taking when I ignored and opened the letter and looking at the address. I smiled for the first time in months.

"Gather everyone, and then leave for the castle. Tell the King and Queen that I am coming back in few days with the princess" I ordered Thomas who smiled at me and then left. I can't believe that I finally know here she is.

I sat on my horse and rode towards the direction where my Leonora is. It would take three days for me to go there. I can't believe I was this close to her. The place where she is, was our next stop.

After three days I reached there stopping only once or twice only when it was necessary. If it was up to me, I would have reached there in a blink.

It was night time when I finally reached after knowing the address of the women named Matilda, I reached her home. It was away from the main city near the woods. My heart was happy knowing I would finally see her. I has a smile on my face and my heart beats rapidly as I was almost near the place.

But when I reached near the house, I heard sobs... my heart beat frantically as I think the worst. What I'd something happened to her?? Is she hurt? I pull the reign motioning the horse to run faster. As I reached the open area, I saw a man lying on the ground, he was in a pool of his own blood. When I look closely u realize he was Eugene, the same Eugene that wanted to snatch my Leonora from me.

Then my gaze fell on a woman who was lying on the ground nearby, he head was on the lap of a girl... I looked closely and realize who it was. My breath hitched after looking at her. She was sobbing as she cradle the head of the women who I realize is dead. My heart ached seeing the love of my life crying.

"Leonora!" I called, almost unable to believe that it's not a dream and she is infront of me. My gaze never fell down from her face even for a second. She looked up with her teary eyes and for a moment she stilled and them start sobbing loudly.

"Ares... she is gone... he killed her... he ... Eugene... I killed him... I killed him... he tried to hurt me... he came ..." she stuttered and looked at me with panic. I ran towards her and kneeled towards her. She looked so exhausted and looked like she is about to fall unconscious and she did but I took her in my arms.

I stood up with her in my arms. I pulled her toward me tightly and froze when my gaze fell on her bulging stomach. Is she? Is she with my child? Our child? I smiled lightly at the thought of little Leonora ot little me. I took her inside while ordering the guard to take care of the dead bodies.
