Fortunately, I still wake up in front of my parents, I decide to leave them a message and explore my surroundings so that tomorrow I also know which bus to take... Well, I'm putting myself in the shower, although it doesn't necessarily look so great...after I've finished moving, I'll leave the house. I plug in my cell phone and walk along the sidewalk. Finally, after approx. 5 minutes, I discover the first bus house. So I introduce myself to the timetable and go through it exactly. A little weird, so everything in English, but I'm kind of getting through it...

Okay... High School...7:05 A.M.... that will probably be my bus...well hopefully. If not, I guess I have a problem... I quickly take a picture with my mobile phone so that I don't come at the wrong time. I then turn off once and I see a somewhat burnt, large meadow. A few trees are standing on this...next to this meadow is a skate park. I go towards the skate park and stand at the railing so that I can look at the area from above...

Several black boys, estimated a little older than me, ride up and down the ramps on their skateboards, make some moves that I would probably only manage in my dreams, or talk to their friends.

"Hey yo, girl!" I turn to a few boys who call up to me from below..." Wanna come down?"

"Nah, thanks, my skating skills are terrible..." I'll call them back.

"Are ya sure?" "Oh believe me, you don't want to see them" so I don't want to sound kind of derogatory or something, I mean, I'll be addressed, I don't have any social contacts otherwise, but as bad as I am, I don't want to do that to them...

I look around again and look like a white boy, maybe 18/19, so approx. 2/3 years older than me. He sits on top of a ramp at his side and has a note in his hand with a pen. He has headphones on... He catches my eye because we are both the only white ones here, yes, certainly not the only ones in Detroit, but at the moment, rather rarely, that is also a rather black quarter after all...

He looks very dreamy, looks around the area and scribbled something on his note every now and then... suddenly he looks up at me, then he writes something down again. I keep looking at him, even if it seems a bit weird for him, but well...then several guys come from behind and one pats him on the shoulders. In fact, I even know one of the guys!

"Yo man, rabbit sup?" I heard one of the guys say to him...the boy then turns around and gets up. "Ey yo Proof, cheddar, am fine..."

"Whatcha doin'?" Asked 'Proof'... 'Rabbit' only answers something that I can't understand exactly, they are also a few meters away from me... So his name is Rabbit, aha... Rabbit, also sounds quite 'funny', but why not...?

I turn my eyes away again, I look around the area, a kiosk, oh, that looks good! I dig in my jacket pocket, fortunately still a few dollars in it, so I go down to the railing, past the ramps, to the kiosk that stands right next to them. I stand at the kiosk and buy a peanut caramel bar, this Mr. Tom bar or something, the goose in Germany always...I was quite surprised that it existed...but oha, just 2 dollars?! Seriously?! I give the guy the 2 dollars and put my Riehl in my jacket pocket.

I take a breath, it's already so cold that I can see my breath in the air. I rub my hands from the cold and turn around. The guys from just now are passing by me. The boy with the note, he looks into my eyes, into the deep blue eyes. He looks at the floor once and then up at me again. Then he gives me a little light smile, so easy that you can only recognize it...hey, at least, someone who notices me without me being stupidly talked to by the side...
