Amara's POV
Dear diary, it's been three years since I became a mother of 3 kids. And today is my youngest child's third birthday. Only a few more hours are left for the day to get over. I didn't know that I was missing a vital part of motherhood until I had her. Sure, I have two older boys but being a mother to such a wonderful daughter is very fulfilling. I still very clearly remember the day she was born.
My third pregnancy was the most uncomfortable pregnancy of all the three times. Even though I was used to the weight gain due to the previous pregnancies, the morning sickness was terrible over the first trimester. I couldn't keep anything in my stomach. But when I started taking my meals in the garden it suddenly stopped. It was not the only time it helped, my baby remained calm whenever I was in the garden. Maybe she will grow up to love nature like I do. I am a mana user with level-B stage-early power rank. My major element is air and minor is water. I had a good chance of going to the big cities and being engaged in stronger positions of knights,
mercenaries, bodyguards or the passive positions of generating energy, noble salons, who gave a good pay. But nothing was more rewarding that to me growing my own food and evolving it into multiple recipes every day. Apart from taking the basic classes for languages, social studies, magic
science, math, and self-defense, I invested all my time to learn farming, cooking and how can I use my air element for improving cultivation. As I was one of the rarer parts of the population my hobby gradually grew into a business. The whole village asked for my powers for different works in their fields like winnowing the rice, maintaining the water levels for the different types of crops, in return I always a good supply of fresh ingredients and almost enough cash to run my little home. Sometimes I even got warm meals delivered to my doorstep which was great help.It was on the 8th of April, in the late morning hours when my youngest Wisteria was born. The surprising thing was that she opened her eyes before she cried. When I saw her with the mop of black hair and honey eyes like her father, I was sure that she is the most adorable baby girl I have ever seen. Contrary to the pregnancy she was a very peaceful baby. I never had to fuss over her feeding, stopping her from wandering places or holding down her limbs while changing the diapers. Sometimes even when I got too busy with work and forgot to do things for her she calmly waited for me or if there was an emergency she would loudly shout in her baby language or throw the toy she was holding to create a noise loud enough to make me aware of her need. As soon as she could crawl she would always greet me and her father. She would hug our legs and smile very brightly. Sometimes she babbled. That reminds me of multiple incidents that took place over the years. Once she was sitting
outside on the bench in our garden when I was harvesting some vegetables from our kitchen garden. I didn't saw when she came down towards me and was sitting on the grass. There was a centipede that crawled around when I was
uprooting a weed. As soon as it came within 1 meter of my space, she let the loudest scream I have ever heard from a baby. I killed it and threw it as far as possible. My poor girl was hiccupping with sobs by the time I came to her. And that day I learned something that absolutely terrified my seemingly calm baby. There was also this one time when she tried so hard to reach for a pot of ink. It was placed a bit higher than she could reach. She tried to hold it by standing on her tippy toes but it fell right on the top of her head. The hilarious part being she was coloured blue for a week. Emin and Clovis laughed till their stomachs hurt the whole week every time they saw her. Poor girl was trying so hard to hold her tears; she even refused to go out at all. Although I will never admit it to her, remembering this incident will always make me smile.Out of all the activities I did with her nothing made her happier than when I danced with kunais. When I took my self-defense classes' knives were my specialty. I was good in
aiming and throwing. The kunais that I possess at present were gifted to me by my husband. Hence they are extremely special. I loved dancing since young; it was my favourite hobby after farming and cooking. Over the years I combined
them. Emin liked to call me 'kunai oujo' for this. Once I was dancing, using the tapping of my feet as music in the night after everyone slept. Wisteria was a little over 2 years then. I didn't see her when she came, but once I finished she ran over to me and hugged my legs. She smiled wide and said, "Mama, you are very beautiful. Your dance was so good." From then on I made sure to dance for her at least twice a week. It was
fun to watch her copy my steps. I will teach her if she is still interested when she grows up.She also loved watching me cook and always reminded me by gestures whenever I missed something. It seemed that her brain was way more aged than her body. Once I randomly asked whether to use tomato sauce or fresh tomatoes for my demi-glace sauce. And she pointed towards the sauce. Even if I smiled and ignored it, I was shocked. Many times she would slip actions that seemed way more mature than a baby, but
everything when back to normal when she showed her surprised reaction at her first incident with my healing magic due to my possession of water element. From then on her
focused was deviated more towards her brothers. She cried very rarely which made us worried about her speaking but when she was 14 months old she at once called all of us perfectly with the first one being Alviss. I was really proud when she wrote down all our full names at just 18 months old, which was even earlier than my 2nd son who did it at 22 months. It was then when I realized that this village which I
considered my home for all these years might be too small for my smart kids.My older son who is already 9 years is often called a prodigy by our neighbour who is a retired city guard. Soon after a year he will awaken the mana in his heart. We might have to move to the city then because as a parent I would love to see my children grow and blossom to most of their abilities.
Holla readers, how are y'all doing today? Here goes the love of
a mother through this chapter. And yes if you don't know
what a kunai is then here ya go a picture of it. It's basically a
Japanese knife, mostly used for throwing. Have a nice day. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
