1. Naruto's pain-filled cries and screams and back in the past

Blood was all you could see but if you look closer you can see two people standing 15 feet apart. "Do you give up now Uzumaki?" Madara asked the blonde. Naruto shook his head no he didn't know why as there was nothing left to fight for. "No. I don't know why but I'm not giving up." Naruto explained before Madara could ask why.

"Sometimes I want to give up but I can't. I-I don't know why." his voice was getting quiet he didn't notice but he started swaying back and forth before he finally started falling backward. He didn't mind he just wanted to lie down.

Before his body hit the ground he was caught. His eyes blurred now and then but he knew who caught him as he and Madara were the only ones alive now. Still, he couldn't bring himself to care he just wanted to lie down and wanted to just...cry.

Slowly the tears formed and he started crying. "Why are you crying, child?" Madara asked confused. Naruto didn't know how to tell him that all the nightmares, the deaths of his comrades, and his occasional childhood memories came into play as well since he never did have the best childhood.

"I-I don't know. I'm just...done I guess." the blonde Uzumaki replied. "I just want the pain to end." at this point, he's trying so hard to keep from sobbing and bothering the older man more. "I just miss my team, my family."

Madara not knowing what to do just listened and let him get it off his chest. He even encouraged the boy to let out all his pain and scream while at the same time crying and attempting to stop the tears from streaming down his face.

"I'm sorry Kit I should have known you were going through this much pain." Kurama apologized. "No don't apologize Kurama. It's okay I blocked off the connection so you didn't go through my memories or see what I was going through I didn't wanna bother you I sure as hell want to stop crying on Madara but I can't seem to stop." naruto told the giant fox.

Madara could only sit there and rub his back. His eyes were filled with tears but he never let them fall. He just sat there and waited until Naruto calmed down.

Slowly but surely Naruto started to calm down and everything was finally catching up to him the fatigue and tiredness of his body he hadn't realized.

What no one knew though was that Kurama accidentally activated a jutsu without even knowing it himself. The light was so bright that Naruto hid his face in Madara's chest and the man covered his eyes with his right arm that wasn't holding Naruto in a sitting position.

In Konoha, a bright light appeared in the red-light district of Naruto Uzumaki's apartment that he lived in before the war happened. As the light dimmed time seemed to speed back up.

A groan was heard. "What the hell happened?" naruto questioned. Naruto looked around and saw that he was in his old apartment. That's when he noticed another boy around his age that looked eerily similar to Madara.

He got up from his bed he realized he was on and he shook the boy he was on the floor awake. Slowly the boy began to wake up. "Where are we?" The boy asked that Naruto now confirmed to be Madara.

"This looks like my old apartment." naruto replied. Madara nodded and stood up and stretched with a few cracks here and there. Naruto stood along with him and found some clothes that could fit Madara.

He found some clothes for himself and gave Madara the clothes he found for him. Madara gratefully took the clothes and Naruto walked to the bathroom to change while Madara changed in Naruto's room.

Naruto wore anbu black pants with a black shirt that has the Uzumaki clan symbol on the back he had a blue and black jacket wrapped around his waist that has the Uchiha symbol and Uzumaki symbol overlapping.

Madara wore black shinobi pants with a dark blue shirt with the Konoha symbol on the front. They both went to Naruto's front door where Naruto had two sets of the standard shinobi sandals one for Madara and the other for Naruto.

"Why do you have both the Uchiha and Uzumaki symbols overlapping?" Madara asked Naruto.

"Oh that," Naruto chuckled. "I actually found this jacket in Kashi-nii's apartment when I went to stay with him for a while." he continued explaining. "It belonged to Obito before the Kannabi bridge mission incident." Madara nodded and accepted that as he could tell from Naruto's eyes that he was telling the truth.

The two left the apartment and headed for the Hokage's tower to speak with the Sandaime Hokage. Madara noticed through their small walk that the villagers were sneering and saying hurtful things about Naruto.
