Luna sighed in her school chair, calming herself down. Today is the day her class gets their final exams back, their teachers started doing this a year back when some kids' parents complained that they wanted to see their kids progress, most likely to get on them for not having perfect scores. "Alright class, let's settle down. I know you're excited about Christmas week BUT you need to grab your final grades. "Remember your parents must sign this and make an appointment with me this Saturday about your progress by Thursday night, " the teacher said while gathering the papers. As she started to pass them out people around Lena started talking about how excited they were for this week and Christmas. Luna began to pick at her cuticles, nervous that she didn't do well.
'Calm down Luna, you always get an A, you work the most out of everyone here.' Luna thought to herself.
Once her teacher put down her report she sighed again before deciding to look at the grades. She smiled, 'All A's, I knew it.' she thought. Her smile slowly faded As she looked at her history grade, a C. Luna felt like time was slowed down, she could no longer hear anything from her class. Her heart started thumping in her chest, as it was tightening. She could no longer breathe, she was losing control. She couldn't calm down and refocus. She blacked out from there, she doesn't remember crying or screaming. All she remembers was waking up in a hospital room. Her dad was outside on the phone, he looked like he was yelling at whoever he was talking to. A doctor came in, she looked to be in her late 30s, she was gorgeous with her dark hair with a grey streak here and there in a bun. Her tag read Dr. Leslie Thompkins.
"Hi sweetie, I'm Dr.Thompkins but you can call me Leslie. How are you feeling?" She questioned while she checked my vitals. "I'm feeling good, a bit sluggish but that's it," I reply.
"Alright, everything looks normal. You were brought in because you suffered a major panic attack earlier this morning. I have set up a couple of appointments with a friend of mine. She'll help you the best way she can okay." Leslie told Luna. Luna nodded to her "I'll go get your father the release papers and you can go back home." Leslie said while walking away. After a couple of minutes, Lex came in to see his daughter.
"How are you feeling honey?" He questioned as he sat next to her stroking her hair.
Tears welled up in her eyes, she had heard what the others had to deal with if they caused problems like this or didn't get good grades.
"I'm sorry daddy, please don't be mad at me," Luna said as the tears rolled down her face.
"Honey I'm not mad at you, I understand you are upset about your grade in History which is weird cause I know you did well. Look at me Luna, I will never be disappointed in you." He told her, what he didn't tell her was that her grades were perfect, and the school seemed to make a mistake. And oh boy was Lex angry. His conversation was nothing nice as they mixed up her grade with another student even though they didn't have anything in common. He's going to make sure this never happens again. He gave her a good cuddle before saying "I have Nigel waiting outside, why don't we go get a treat and then go home?"
Luna's tears stopped and she smiled, "yes please!" she exclaimed. She got up really fast ready to leave the hospital. "Now wait let me sign the papers and ill meet you out of your room, ok?" Lex said. "Ok!" Luna said as Lex went to sign the papers. Dr.Leslie came in after he left and got her off all the machines and helped her get dressed. "Ok, your dad is outside the door, I hope you have a good day sweetie." She said to Luna. "I will, thank you miss," Luna said with a smile before opening the door to meet her dad. "Alright, let's get out of here." He said leading the way toward the exit. Luna followed after him bouncing on her feet.

After the incident, Lex moved Luna to another private academy where he had some insight but not too much so Luna can grow on her own. Due to her intelligence, she got bumped up more than a couple of grades. She is currently in Junior year. Lex can't believe that she'll be graduating in a year, and he also knows the threats of being smart can bring and he's upset the school will not bring her bodyguard to school. But he's glad she can grow without him there. Luna walked to her locker as people snickered at her and whispered about her. Stuff came flying out of her locker as she opened it. All of the teens around her started laughing "Looks like daddy couldn't save you from this one." One girl said. "Yea, he can't buy everything for you like he does your grades freak." Another said while walking away laughing. Luna rolled her eyes while getting her stuff before closing her locker and going to class. One of these days she's going to prove to those entitled brats that she was force to be reckoned with. As Luna sat in the back she got all of her stuff out, putting everything in its organized position. She was on her phone for the next couple of minutes before the bell rang and students started flooding in. She texted her dad that she was in class before silencing her phone and putting it away in a spit she's never put it away in her bag. The teacher came in with a smile on her face and papers in her hands. "Alright, class let's talk about what we're doing next unit." the teacher said, as the class groaned. "Now, now there will be some fun. Our next unit covers the Age of Exploration and Discovery, and we have been invited to go to the Gotham Museum of Antiquities." She said while passing the papers out.
"Looks like it's time for a field trip."
