Lex was a mastermind, always two steps ahead of anyone who dared to stand in his way. He knew that "the world needed to be cleansed of heroes, those self-righteous, caped crusaders who only destroyed in their wake." Lex always said to his daughter, and for a while she agreed but after the day she was saved her thoughts on them completely changed. She tried to tell Lex but he gave her the cold shoulder on the subject. Lex was tired of their arrogance and the collateral damage they caused. It was time to put an end to them, for good. On a faithful day he held a twisted smile, Lex formulated one of his plans to take out the heroes, one by one. He planted bombs, and set up elaborate traps. He did all this in secret, under the guise of his many legitimate businesses, making sure that no one suspected a thing. He was convinced that he was untouchable. But Luna saw what he was doing, Lex went by the plans that she got. So Luna knew she had to stop him, so she came up with her plan. Luna had always been suspicious of her father's intentions, even when he convinced her to join him as a little girl.
Lex attempts to kill Superman first to prove himself as the ultimate villain and claim his place as the ruler of Metropolis. Luna managed to thwart her father's scheme to eliminate Superman without Lex even suspecting her intervention. Recognizing that her father's plan was destined to fail, Luna saw an opportunity to protect both Superman and her father from the disastrous consequences of their actions. With calculated precision, she skillfully manipulated the situation, subtly altering the course of events so that Lex's plan unraveled on its own, sparing Superman's life and preserving her father's innocence. Luna's strategic brilliance ensured that justice prevailed, all while maintaining the delicate balance of secrecy and safeguarding her dad from the harsh reality of her involvement. Lex planned for someone to attack civilians to draw him out, he had made a machine that would overcharge Superman with the sun, after being overcharged with the sun he had set the bombs to go off. There was one problem, something Luna used to her advantage, Superman would not get hurt or wounded by the sun, therefore, the bombs would not work either. How did her dad not notice this, no one will ever truly know.
Luna ended up disarming half of the bombs laid so less damage occurred and no innocent lives were lost. Lex was angry that his plan failed. Luna decided to leave her dad alone to calm down. She decided to text Jon. 'Hey, what are you doing?' she texted him. After a couple of minutes, he replied 'Nothing much, I'm bored want to go get something to eat?'. 'Please, I would love that so much,' she texted back. Luna put on something that she normally wouldn't, as well as a hat. She didn't want people to recognize her while she was with him. She felt as though if she did then she would be exploiting him. They ended up going to Ace O' Clubs. "This place is my dad's favorite place," Jon said. After many weeks like this Luna realized Jon was unconsciously dropping so many hints on his dad that would somehow align with Superman. It didn't take Luna a long time for her to realize that he was most likely Superboy and his dad is Superman.
In the sleek, modern office overlooking the towering skyline of Metropolis, Luna was working on a new business plan her father asked her to come up with. The girly office echoed with the hum of high-tech machinery as Lex barged in and discussed his latest schemes for acquiring more power and wealth. Luna feigned enthusiasm and nodded along, she didn't want to disappoint him even though she disagrees with his hatred toward heroes. However, with each passing day, she couldn't shake the growing unease within her. Luna shifted at the sight of her father's new plan, she felt sick even. For over two decades, there have been missiles buried deep below Metropolisis's dirt covered with lead and kryptonite. Lex was waiting for the right day to set them off so heroes would be no more, whether they would be dead or illegal is a not known situation. Luna knew one thing for sure, she's gonna need help if he ever decided to do this.
After a stressful week of doing stuff for her father and worrying about what he could do next was killing Luna, Jon stepped in and asked her to go to a fair. Luna decided to accept it, she needed someone right now, even if he didn't know what was truly wrong. Luna, dressed incognito in a pair of sunglasses and a casual hoodie, and Jon, in his signature jeans and a Superman-themed T-shirt, blended into the bustling crowd. They explored the vibrant carnival together, trying out various rides and indulging in cotton candy and caramel apples. As they strolled through the fairgrounds, Luna couldn't help but smile at Jon's infectious enthusiasm. They laughed together, sharing inside jokes and enjoying the simple pleasures of the moment. "Come on, Luna! Let's give the Ferris wheel a shot," Jon suggested, his blue eyes sparkling with genuine enthusiasm. Luna couldn't help but be drawn in by his infectious energy. They joined the line, bantering with each other. Others around them gave them dirty looks when one laughed too loud. As they ascended the Ferris wheel, Luna stole a glance at the cityscape below, her usually guarded demeanor softening in the glow of the carnival lights. Jon, sensing her contemplation, nudged her playfully. "What's on your mind, Luna?" She hesitated for a moment, then decided to confide in him. I mean it's not like he could hold this over her head when she knew his secret, one he didn't even realize she knew. Luna shifted nervously "It's just... I never thought I'd get to experience something like this, you know? Without worrying about the Luthor name hanging over my head." Jon smiled reassuringly. "Well, today is all about having fun and forgetting the heavy stuff. Let's make the most of it!" Luna smiled at him graciously, the moonlight and lights from below illuminated his features. Luna felt something she'd never felt before. Her heart speeds up and her stomach flips. 'Oh god, I like him' Luna thought. After getting off the ride Lex texted his daughter
Lex: Where are you?
Luna: Went to look at the fair and it's boring, on my way home now!
Lex: Good
"Sorry, Jon but I have to go, my dad's wondering where I went and I can't stay. Thank you for tonight" Luna said nervously. Jon, taking her hand in his, squeezed it gently. "I get it, Luna. But remember, whenever you need an escape from the chaos, whether it's fairgrounds or rooftop gardens, I'll be here for you." I smiled back with sad eyes.
"Thank you for understanding Jon"
