I-Land's Angel - Park Sunghoon 박 성훈

𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐖𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐘-𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄

I was sitting next to Sunghoon on my bed with some other I-Landers including Jay in the purple room.

"I had a lot on my mind, so little by little.." Jay starts suddenly. He lifts his shirt a bit revealing 12 envelopes, "I've been writing letters to each of you."

I quickly perk up my head and look at him in confusion, "No you didn't.." I chuckled, shaking my head in denial.

"Lies." Jake excused as Jay handed him a letter.

Sunghoon stared at Jay when he recieved his, "Woah..."

Jay walks over to me and gives me an envelope with my name on it, "Don't read it now." He says as he gives us our letters, "Read it after they announce the results."

"After this, if you aren't eliminated..." Jake starts.

"If I'm not eliminated, then just scoff at me saying I was being emotional."

After Jay leaves to deliver his other letters I take the envelope and open it, "You're going to read it?" Sunoo asks.

I scoff, "Yeah, I'm too curious. Plus when do I ever listen to Jay?" I said, unfolding the paper.

Sunoo laughed, "That is true."

"I'll read mine too." Sunghoon said, opening his as well.

I hesitantly started reading over the words.

To my little sister Soojin,

I know I'm not good at expressing my feelings through words. But I'm proud of you. You work really hard not only for yourself but to help others as well. I can't wait for everyone to see how talented you are. I'm sure you'll make it to debut.

I wish you the best of luck, Jay

I shook my head as I closed the letter, feeling some sadness build up in my chest, "Damn it, Jay...  I'm going to go to bed now.  See you all in the morning."

The next morning I quickly went to find Jay and I saw him up and early eating breakfast.  I went up to him and gave him a hug, "I- Soojin what are you doing?" He asked with a laugh, setting down his plate.

"Hugging you because you seem depressed with your ranking." I explained casually.

Jay chuckled, hugging me back, "Not wrong."

"Let's- let's just debut together?... please..." I asked quietly.

He sighed, "I'll try, but promise me you'll do your best."

I nodded, "Only if you do your best too."

Jay laughed, "You're something else, Soojin, I swear."

"Shut up, Jay."

The 12 of us were on stage waiting for the results of the global voting from the Chemi test.  So far Sunoo, Heeseung, and Jay are the top three.  I waited for the results for fourth place.  Hoping I haven't gone too far down the ranks, "We'll announce the fourth survivor.  The fourth survivor received 1,509,821 votes and ranked fourth among 12.  In Denmark, Germany, and Ireland, they ranked 1st in global votes.  They are preparing for the Concept Test as a member of the Chamber 5 unit." I felt a tiny bit of hope since two members of my unit were already called.
