Kara looked around the lounge area of STAR Labs and walked over to a couch as she sat down; Barry had been gone for quite a while and she understood that he had to go talk to Oliver about a couple of things but that didn't mean she wasn't worried about him

It wasn't just because they had a son together in the future but it was because still deep down, he was still her best friend who she happened to care immensely about yet she couldn't shake the thought of seeing herself of being with an amazing guy like Barry

They shared so much in common, their absolute love for musicals and that drive that they had to keep pushing against all odds that stood against them and the people they grew to care about; being heroes came with sacrifices and they were alike in that way knowing what it truly meant to be one when no one else would make those tough decisions

Kara takes her glasses off and sets them aside as she hears the familiar crackle of lightning go off, Barry comes to a screeching halt as he sees Kara sitting all by herself in the lounge room; the two superfriends make eye contact and smile at the sight of each other

Barry:Hey..

He says while walking over to her and sits down next to Kara as the Girl of Steel greets him back and asks the fastest man alive

Kara:Hey..so how did it go with Oliver?

Barry chuckles a bit and replies back remembering his talk with the protector of Star City

Barry:It went well actually, he understood why I did what I did to Iris and supported me all the way through..

Kara seemed a bit impressed by this initially she thought that maybe Oliver would've given him some advice about the former West Allen marriage and how he should make up with Iris but it looks like once again, Oliver continued to surprise her

Barry:We even joked about our kids being friends in the future..

Kara couldn't help but laugh hearing this part but then again it wouldn't surprise her if Connor had been friends with Oliver's son or daughter after all he did seem like a great guy all around and given what he's done for the world..she didn't mind it happening

Kara:I can see that happening..I know that we only talked to Connor for a bit but he's a good kid..I can see it in his eyes

Barry nodded his head in absolutely agreeing to what Kara was saying about their future son; the way he wore their combined crest made him feel even prouder knowing that Connor carried their legacy with honor and respect

Barry:He's the best of both worlds..like his parents

Barry's eyes widen immediately regretting what he had just said not that he was ashamed but it was the fact that himself and Kara weren't even together as he turned to face Kara; only to see her a blushing mess hearing what Barry said

Barry:I--I'm sorry..I just got lost in the moment, I didn't mean to say it--well I did just say it but it came out wrong

Barry leans forward and puts his hands on his face clearly embarrassed by his rambling as he feels Kara move one of his hands away from his face and gently squeezes it

Kara:It's okay, Barry..I know what you meant..im just getting used to us eventually having a son together..
