Astrid's POV
I walked into the stables with Stormfly and the rest of the gang to find Hiccup. When we entered I saw him sitting next to the strange Dragon rider we saved that morning. I felt jealousy rise in my chest as I walked toward the cell.
"Hey!" I said loudly, scaring them both. Hiccup jumped slightly at the sudden noise and the girl moved away from him. I giggled a bit to mask my sudden feeling of anger toward the girl.
"Who does she think she is, is she seriously trying to steal him from me?" I thought and gritted my teeth as I smiled fakely, "Hah, just let her try, see how fun Dragon's Edge is when you've messed with me."
"Oh hey Astrid, hey gang, this is...uh, I'm sorry, I didn't ask for your name.." Hiccup said kindly as he stood up and helped the blonde girl up with him.
"Um, Freya. My name's Freya." She said softly, I almost had a hard time hearing her. I laughed a bit to myself. She seems like a pushover like she's afraid of everything. She more than likely can't defend herself or anyone for that matter. I doubted she'd be able to hold her own against me. I smirked a bit, at the thought, I knew this would be easy for me. No one would have to know, I could keep my reputation, just as I had through every other time.
"Oh, Freya, She's looking for Berk." Hiccup stated as he walked towards me, placing an arm around my waist and pulling me closer for a peck on my cheek. I gave Freya a smug look and she looked at me stonily. I was a little taken aback, I hadn't expected a reaction like that.
I laughed with a nice smile, "Well, she kind of found it. Didn't she guys?"
Hiccup, Snotlout, and the twins gave me some confused glances. But Fishlegs spoke up.
"Um, no. Not really, Berk is still a good day and a half's flight away." He stated matter of factly. I shot him a venomous glare and he shut up.
"Well then, why don't I show her around the Edge... while she's here." I smiled again as I faced her, slightly gritting my teeth together. I gave her a subtle glare and again she returned it.
"My, my," I thought to myself, "This might just be interesting after all."
I walked towards her and pushed my arm through hers, linking them together. I squeezed it harshly as we started to walk out of the stables.
"Come on, Freya," I said a bit too harshly, but I hoped the others had been oblivious to it, "Let's go have some... fun" I grinned maliciously to myself as we exited the stables and walked down the stairs. Leaving my friends very confused.
_
We walked about the Edge, and I tried my best to seem nice. But as soon as we were outside my hut, I grabbed her and yanked her behind it.
"Ow, what are you doing?" She hissed as she rubbed where I had gripped her.
I pushed her down forcefully and smiled widely when she made no attempt to get back up. She started up in confusion, but she also looked prepared to fight me if she needed to.
"I think some ground rules need to be set for your stay, Freya," I spat her name like poison, "Hiccup belongs to one person, and that's... me, you aren't allowed to speak to him, touch him, anything. Do you understand? You're just some weak, lonely rogue that we found on the coast. You're nothing, and you won't ever be anything more than that, yes?"
As I spoke her face hardened and she looked at me as she stood up again.
"You think I'm weak?" She smiled slightly, "Oh, we shall see about that, Astrid." She pushed past me as she walked off.
