After returning from school, Asher made an unusual decision to complete his homework promptly. As he sat at his desk, he struggled to figure out where to begin. Suddenly, a knock interrupted his thoughts. Upon answering the door, he found his younger brother on the other side, holding a plate of cookies.

"oh hey little bro, you need something?" Asher asked.

(I forgot to mention, Asher has a little brother from their bio mom, so yea, and he also calls Stephanie "mom" since he never knew who his actual mother was)

His little brother shook his head and handed him the cookies. "I made these for you!" He said in an excited voice. Asher was shocked that his little brother actually did something nice for once, and he grabbed the plate from him.

"These better not be poisoned" Asher warned his little brother. His little brother shook his head and smiled. "They're not poisoned!" He said in a cheerful voice. Asher stared at him for a long time before letting him inside. He sat down on the bed with him and ate the cookies.

They were good. Asher smiled and looked at his little brother, who was looking down at the floor with a blush on his face. "You know what?" Asher asked him. His little brother shook his head and looked up at him in confusion. "I'm proud of you." His little brother looked up at him in shock and then smiled. "You are?" He asked. Asher nodded and ruffled his hair. "Yeah, you took initiative to do something nice for me when I told you not to." Asher said. His little brother beamed at him in happiness. "I'm glad." He said, before getting up and going over to his desk where he kept a pillow case full of more cookies. He handed it over to Asher who took it with a smile on his face.

Asher stuffed the container of leftover cookies into his backpack, hoping no one would notice. His mother had made oatmeal raisin cookies with chunks of dark chocolate - Asher's favorite - and he knew his boyfriend, Keith, would love them.

Asher had not been able to spend much time with Keith that week due to school, but he thought a surprise will make up for it.

The next day at school, Asher nervously peeked around for Keith. Eventually, he spotted him in the lunchroom and fetched the container from his backpack.

Asher cautiously approached Keith and handed him the container. "I know this is random, but you haven't tasted our mom's cookies just yet, so I thought I'll surprise you," he said.

Keith opened the lid and his face lit up. Asher smiled and explained the delicious ingredients his mother had used for the cookies.

Keith grabbed a handful of cookies and thanked Asher. He enjoyed every single bite, and Asher was relieved.

The two of them talked and shared the cookies while they finished their lunch. Asher discovered that Keith shared his love of oatmeal raisin cookies, and they agreed to try to make them together soon.

Asher felt happy that he was able to surprise Keith with the cookies and make his day a bit sweeter.
