Moon, my love

I remember how I stood at the edge
of an uncompleted building,
You caught me before I could jump,
And showed me a different part of life,
I remember how you cuddled me to sleep,
Right after wiping my every tear,
And when my anger echoed in my voice,
As I screamed and shouted in pain,
You never got mad,
Instead, you left the sky just to give me
a tight hug,
I fell in love with the way you shined,
And how you stood out amongst the stars,
I found solace in you,
So I looked forward to every sunset,
And rejoiced when the day went dark,
Because then I'd get to see you, my love.
You've accepted me for who and what I am,
You loved me, when everyone else abandoned me,
And for that,
I love you,
My moon.
