She was an average girl
You were a modern girl,
She pierced your heart,
Put a string into its new hole,
And hung it securely around her neck,
Even though it's weight kept pulling
her body towards the ground,
She lit up a big fire to warm up
your freezing hands,
Even though it's blazing ate into
her sensitive skin,
She opened her closet,
And let you see skeletons she hid
from everyone else,
Even though the reveal had unleashed
demons she had tried to escape,
She dug into her many graves,
And let you see the numerous hers
that she had buried,
Even though that forced her to face
a past that had brought her so much pain,
She got out of her comfort zone,
Hoping that maybe,
just maybe,
You'd be caring enough to see how much
she had sacrificed to keep you,
But you still left,
so she figured that maybe her efforts
were not enough,
Maybe you weren't even aware of
these efforts,
Or maybe you knew,
But just didn't care,
Because she did it all for you,
But you still chose everyone else
over her,
Leaving her wandering endlessly,
In her old darkness.S.B.D7
