POV Azalea:

He gave me a moment to admire the view before tugging on my hand "Come I've been waiting to show you" he turned and began leaving the library. He turned to look behind himself making sure I was still behind him. "This is the library, where you can read anything you want, take it even. I won't mind." He said as he held my hand and pointed up to the tall bookshelves before bringing me out into the halls. As I followed I couldn't stop hearing the consistent pounding of one's heart beating. As if it was following me everywhere I went. The tall doorways curved at the top causing Nyx to walk freely, a space made for his form.

The warm white walls glowed within the candlelight, different types of paintings lined the walls. Each painting had a meaning and purpose with each stroke of the brush. But Nyx didn't pay the artwork any mind, rushing to get me into the next room. Slowing down the closer we got to the next set of doors, he pulled on the handle allowing me to peak into the room. An array of colors flooded my view, a table for art, an easel and another corner desk I couldn't quite see. Artwork scattered the walls but from this far away I couldn't see it. "This is my studio where all my personal thing are, like sketch books" he gave me a moment to observe before closing the door again.

His hand still held onto mine tightly as he peered down at me "I can't believe you are finally here" his smile was bright. His smile was always attractive but now it seemed dangerous. While holding my hand he began walking again, pulling me to walk at his side instead of behind him. "The palace has 6 floors but for now only worry about this one" I felt my eyes widening in amazement while looking at each art piece we passed. As we turned the hall we entered a seating room, the windows were tall and the curtains reminded me of the ones from home. They had flowers and stars embroidered on them. The lounges were big, fluffed with feathers and rested in front of a large fire hearth.

He continued to walk hand in hand with me at his side. "This is the main lounge for family. Gatherings can get overwhelming though" he brushed his hair back before sliding his other hand into his pocket. The lounge overlooked what I assumed to be the grand staircase. There were smoking sofas and tables full of empty whiskey glasses and discarded books. He pointed down to the left and towards the big lone door "That's my study where I spend more time than I'd like, feel free to interrupt me anytime." He chuckled before walking down towards the right of the lounge leading to a smaller staircase.

He started walking again looking down at me for a moment "You look beautiful in royal blue." It was then I looked down and realized I was still in my debutant gown, my price tag. I still felt the flattery of his words as he let go of my hand to allow me to walk before him. My big hoop skirt made the hallways feel tighter and I wondered what the ladies of the Night Court often wore. I held onto the dark ebony wood railing which seemed recently waxed and primed. At the top of the stairs I saw a painting of a landscape I recognized.
