chapter 9 | Where did Mommy go?

"where is mommy..." Asked a little girl with pink highlights

"Where is mommy...? She left for a long time..." The girl starts tearing up before she walks over to her room

"W-when is mommy coming home?.." stuttered the girl as she sat on her bed and hugged her single pillow for comfort

Soon the girl falls asleep tired of crying and worrying for hours...

"Huh? What's that..." The girl mutters as she walks outside her soon to be gone household

"Huh is that?-" the girl walks over to the grass where she sees a glimpse of fur pop out

"Kitty!" The girl says with excitement before shutting herself up to not scare the small kitten

She looks over at the small feline to see it just lying there motionless "huh? Is the kitty ok?" The young girl walks over to go pick up the kitty

Soon she successfully was able to pick up the small kitty before she notices something off about the creature

"H-Huh? Why dose the kitty have black stripes?" Mutters the girl wondering as she looks at the strange creature

"W-wait! It looks cold! I need to bring it inside!" Soon the girl hurried inside her household and sat at the kitchen crabbing towels to try and warm up the small "cat"

"Hmm what should I call you?..." Wondered the small child as she watches the cat sleep peacefully in the stacks of towels

Soon she sees the eyes of the kitty soon flutter open which catches her off guard

"Huh! Oh yay you're awake!" Smiled the little girl with joy as she picked up the cat to sit it down at the couch

"Mommy has been gone for a long time but don't worry I will keep you safe" the girl smiled warmly as the cat just looked at her with confusion

"Hmm know back to what I should call you..." The girl thought back to the idea she had just a couple of minutes ago

"But besides that you don't seem all that scared... Most of the time mommy would lock me in my room and tell me to stay there, I don't know why but I think it's because she is scared of me..." The little girl smiles poorly

The cat just looks at her before looking around the new environment before shrugging it off and going back to sleep

"Hmm... Oh I know! I should call you Byakko!" Smiled the girl as she pets the small animal

"I heard someone talk about it once when I was walking around the neighborhood because mommy kicked me out for the day!" The girl laughed to herself as she continues to pet the cat

"Oh! I almost forgot my name is Y/n!" The girl picks up the cat to look at its face as it looks back at her with a blunt face before she puts the car back down

The room goes silent for a bit before the girl starts talking again

"Do you have a family?" Asked the little girl

"I only have a mommy but I did have a daddy..." The girl thought back to when she was really young at the time

"But the last time I saw him he was on the floor for some reason... It looked like he was playing with paint too! He had paint all over him! But I don't know why he would paint with a knife... Mommy said that knives are bad and I shouldn't touch them!"

The girl's smile grew even more as she started kicking her feet with joy

"No one really talks to me! Even mommy! She would yell at me or throw stuff at me which hurts but I still love her!" The girl continues on but soon realizes the cat with black stripes is now sleeping and no longer listening to her

"Huh? Oh good night Byakko!"

"Y/n are you ready?" Asked Rei as he grabs hit coat "hm? Oh you know me of course!" Y/n replies with a sheepish smile

Soon the duo are walking down the street to the office but spot a familiar someone

"Huh? Oh look it's the dude who fainted yesterday!" Smiled Y/n as she runed up to the younger man before taping him on his shoulder

"AHH" The white haired male jumps up in surprise before jumping back to check if the person who taped him is a bad guy

"Huh? Oh no need to get so feisty!" Y/n explains as the man looks at the woman dumbfounded by his discovery

"O-oh hello! L/n was it?" Asked Atsush before looking behind the younge looking woman to see the other man behind her

"Oh and Kou am I correct?" Asked Atsushi as he put his hand out to greet the new people

"It's nice to meet you as well!"

ANYWAYS I got my stuff back because I was a good kid so yay!

I had a lot of random ideas for the book pop up in my brain so yeah I might post a bit more hopefully?
