"Are we almost there yet?" Blade and Shimmer complained in unison. Cora could understand why because they were very young and she was making them walk a long distance without stopping.
"Almost. We have one more mile left." Cora said, gently. "We'll stop when we get there."
Both Eevees sighed but kept going. When we got to Pecha Hills, we quickly found the big den that Queen Autumn's friend lived in. Cora wondered if she was the Queen of this village. Cora knocked on the outer wall of dirt. A Mincino maid answered and said, "Please state your business."
"We were sent to help Mist by our Queen Autumn," Cora explained. The maid seemed know this for she said, "Oh! Follow me! The mistress is waiting for you."
As we followed the maid towards the meeting room, Blade and Shimmer sighed. The maid took no notice if this and said, "The mistress is waiting for you here."
Cora and the Eevees walked in and a beautiful Vaporeon walks up to them.
"Welcome to Pecha Hills! I'm Mist! Queen Autumn told me expect a Sylveon and two adorable Eevees! Are you three them?" Mist said.
"Yes! I'm Blade, that's Cora, and that's Shimmer. Are you the Queen here?" Blade said. Cora bumped a bit and whispered in his ear. Mist chuckled and said, "Sadly, no. I'm the Princess here. My mother is away for business and I'm in charge."
"Oh! Please sit down! There are some little cakes and cookies for you three! Eat up! Don't be shy and eat your fill!" Mist said. The Eevees rushed over to the cushions and began to munch on the cookies. Mist chuckled and went towards the cushions. Cora followed and helped herself to a cookie. The Princess took a piece of cake and said, "Now to business. My Soul Gem was stolen my Claw the Zoarark and Fang the Lucario. They ambushed me and took the gem. It's a family heirloom so you can tell why it's so important. It can also be very dangerous because it can suck the souls of other Pokémon. I heard about the attack in Oran Grotto. I'm pretty sure Claw and Fang were behind the attack. A lot of Pokémon went missing so I'm sure they were sucked into the gem."
"Does that mean my mother and father are alive?" Blade asked hopefully. Mist thought and said, "Maybe."
Blade looked excited and Shimmer looked genuinely happy for him.
"But we have to find the Soul Gem. What does it look like and how do we release the Pokémon souls?" Cora asked.
"It looks blue with green swirls and it's a perfect circle shape. To release the souls, you need to bring the gem to me so I can perform the ritual. Only the throne and its heirs can do the rituals." Mist explained. "If Fang and Claw attacked Oran Grotto, they might be targeting other berry picking locations, like Persim Valley and Sitrus Mountain. I think you three should go to either one of those locations. There, you can defeat the criminals."
Cora nodded and said, "We will leave tommorow morning, Your Majesty."
Mist agreed and said, "Let me guide you three to your room so you can sleep for the night. I will have a maid bring up your dinners."
Mist led them down a long hall and into a grand room. There were three comfy looking beds. One big one and two smaller ones. Mist looked at them and said, "A maid is bringing your dinner. Please wait a bit. Don't worry about the dishes because the maids will take it back after."
"Thank you so much! We are absolutely grateful for your hospitality." Cora said.
"Oh! Your most certainly welcome! Sleep well and eat your fill!" Mist said. The Vaporeon Princess walked away and Cora looked at the Eevees.
"You two should take a bath," Mist suggested. Blade ran to the huge soakroom and said, "Me first!!"
"I'm coming!" Shimmer exclaimed as she dove into the large soak tub. The tub was lighted with purple lights and since this was underground, the water gave the room a soft purple glow. It was very calm there. After they finished their soak, there was a knock on the wall. Cora walked toward the opening of the room and saw an Audino maid wheeling a cart.
"Here are your dinners, Miss Cora," she said, wheeling the cart into the bedroom.
"Thank you!" Cora said. The maid nodded and quickly walked away. Blade and Shimmer ran out and breathed in the delicious scent if food.
"That smells delicious!" Shimmer said in awe.
"Dig in!" Cora smiled as she served the Eevees their food. They all ate and put their bowls in the corner near the opening of the room. Shimmer yawned and climbed into her bed and instantly fell asleep. Blade followed in the same manner and Cora as well. Tommorow was the big day and they wanted to get a good night's rest.
