•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••Blade woke up and saw that he had been moved into a bed next to Cora and Shimmer. What am I doing here? he thought. Just then, Shimmer woke up and saw that Blade was awake.
"Where are we and why?" Blade asked.
"We are in the Queen's den because we now live here. You fell asleep, so Cora carried you over. We are going to get our own rooms soon but for now, we all have to share." Shimmer explained.
"Yea. That's right Shimmer. I can't believe you remembered that so you could tell Blade," Cora said as she yawned. She looked at the two Eevees and said. "Today, we are officially part of the Queen's court!"
"Yea!" Blade said. Shimmer nodded her head and looked at the opening of the room. An Audino maid bowed and said, "Third room is going to be Cora's. Mr. Blade, Miss Shimmer, please follow me to your rooms."
As Shimmer and Blade followed the maid, Cora looked at the window. She saw the beautiful sky and there was no clouds and the sun smiled at everyone. Cora walked out of the room and found Blade and Shimmer walking towards her. With the Queen's permission, they all went for a walk outside.
"Today is a nice day right?" Blade suggested. Shimmer nodded and Cora smiled.
"Let's go eat berries!" Cors exclaimed. Shimmer's eyes sparkled with excitement and Blade started bouncing. The trio walked toward the den that sold berries. It was called Berries Galore and it sold all the berries you could think of, even the new ones from the Kalos region. The owners had their way of getting berries.
When the trio walked in, there was a long line.
"Darn. Why did there have to be such a long line?" Blade said, pouting. Cora put her paw on his back and said, "Don't worry. We will get our berries soon enough."
Shimmer sighed and went to sit in a corner. Blade followed and the two Eevees started to talk.
Soon enough, Cora made it to the front of the line and Shimmer and Blade ran towards her.
"Oh! Oh! Get some Oran berries and Sitrus berries!" Shimmer exclaimed.
"Some Aspear Berries and Lum berries too!" Blade added.
"Ok Eevees. Can I please have an order of Oran , Sitrus, Aspear, Lum, and Pecha berries?" Cora said as the the cashier took some of the leaves she held out. (Leaves are the currency of this world. Small leaves can cover small things and big leaves can cover bigger things.)
The cashier handed Cora a bag made of leaves and bark full of berries. Cora took it and she and the Eevees walked outside.
"Can we eat them now?" Blade asked. Shimmer nodded and said, "Can we?"
"Hold on! We need to find a place to sit!" Cora laughed. Blade sighed and Shimmer kept walking.
"How about over there?" Blade asked, pointing towards a sunny spot on a hill. Cora shook her head and said, "Let's go somewhere shady."
They kept walking and suddenly, Shimmer stopped and pointed with her paw and said, "How about over there?"
"That's perfect Shimmer!" Cora said. The trio walked toward a spot under a tree. The tree was huge and there was shade everywhere. A cool breeze danced through their fur and it felt peaceful. As they ate their berries, they talked about how life was. When the Eevees where done eating, they started playing. Cora watched from a distance. She smiled, remembering how playful she was when she was an Eevee.
It soon started to get dark and Cora yelled, "Eevees! It's getting dark! We need to start going back to the Queen's den!"
"Ok Cora!" Blade replied as he and Shimmer ran back to Cora. When they got back to the den, Blade and Shimmer walked back to their rooms. Cora decided to stay outside and started walking down a path towards a berry grotto. Today was so fun! I want to do this again with the Eevees!, Cora thought.
Rustle rustle
Cora looked at the bushes behind her and called out, "Who's there? What do you want?"
"I want YOU!" a voice from the bushes called out. All of a sudden, Cora was grabbed and stuffed into a bag.
"Help!!" Cora called out.
