A young man was sitting in a carriage, staring out on the great fortress of forest that protected the ground from any sunlight with its entangling branches. Even though his eyes were captivated by the choking trees, his mind was elsewhere. The man's pink lips parted, taking in the scent from the open window. "Momo." The male called out a woman's name. Without a sudden change, a young woman appeared in the carriage, sitting across from the male.
"Is there something bothering you, my lord?" The young woman with hair darker than the night sky questioned, laying her eyes on the colorless white hair. The male turned his head to set his Heterochromia Iridium eyes on the young woman, revealing the crimson red hair on his left. The red hair dripped down, trying to cover the massive scar over the male's face. "Why does the forest reek of werewolves?" He questioned.
"There's a pack of werewolves living at the top of the mountain. It appears they've migrated towards the village, sir." She answered. The male turned his head back to look out the window. "I assumed my trip to the village would be peaceful, but there's much work to be done. Seems the werewolves feel bold enough to step close to my home." The man grumbled.
The sun was trying to hide behind the mountains, casting a crimson orange across the sky. The male's mixed eyes lay on the familiar walls that protected his home. "It's been so long since I've been home." The male mumbled to himself. He watched as the gates started to open for their carriage to enter. It didn't take long before the carriage stopped.
The man stepped out of the carriage, standing in the center of the village. He took a whiff of the smell of humans that surrounded him, but he became unpleasant when his nose caught the scent of a werewolf. "Momo." The man called for his servant. "Yes, Lord Todoroki?" The woman walked to her master's side. "Do you smell that?" He questioned. "All I can smell are humans." Momo informed the man at her side.
The blue and gray eyes scanned through the crowd of humans that were slowly approaching him. "I smell a wolf." Todoroki glared. Momo quickly sniffed the air, finding the same scent her master was complaining about. "It's faint but I can smell it." She mumbled. "Not to worry. The scent is too faint to be in the village. I'll order for the gates and walls to be secured. Werewolves are near." Momo tried solving the problem. Todoroki turned away, following the scent.
He followed it until his footsteps stopped at a well. Todoroki reached down before dipping a finger in the water. He pulled his hand up, letting the water drip off his fingers. He pulled his hand up to his lips before licking the water. "Get the water changed. There's blood in it." Todoroki ordered before turning around.
The young child was sitting in his box fort, staring at the rain that was flooding the streets. He whimpered as he felt a little drop of water fall and hit his nose. He looked up to see the box over his head had become drenched and the supporting sticks were the only thing holding the box from falling. He grabbed the hood of his jacket and pulled it over his head. His little body was trembling in the cold.
The young boy curled his legs closer to his chest. Grabbing the sides of the jacket, he pulled it over his legs before zipping it close. It was the only thing he could think of to keep the warmth from his body. The rain continued to hit heavily. The child lay on his side wishing he was in a warm bed like all the other children. Although he wasn't like the others.
The familiar vampire was standing in a large mansion, looking out the window at the rain hitting the glass. "My lord." Todoroki's attention was taken away when he heard his name get called out. He turned his gaze to look at the young man with bluish-black hair wearing rectangular half-rim glasses. "Dinner has been prepared." The man informed Todoroki.
"Thank you, Iida." Todoroki spoke. He turned away from the window to walk towards the door. Suddenly the windows burst in, blown by the powerful wind. "I'll get that." Iida walked into the room before reaching to grab the panels. Suddenly he was stopped when Todoroki grabbed Iida's wrist. "My lord? Is something wrong?" Iida was worried. The faint scent of the werewolf Todoroki smelled earlier was now stronger than before.
"Wolf." Todoroki muttered before letting Iida go. "I won't be needing dinner." The vampire spoke as he jumped out of the window. "Lord Todoroki." The male shouted for his master but Todoroki fell out of sight.
The man with white and crimson hair was walking along the roofs of the building, following the scent that flooded his nose. "Lord Todoroki." His ears were filled with the calling of his name. He turned his gaze to the ground to see Momo and Iida standing in the rain with an umbrella protecting them. "Please come down." Iida begged but Todoroki ignored his servant.
He continued walking along the wet roof with Iida and Momo following after him. It didn't take long before Todoroki tracked down the scent. The male dropped into an alley, followed by his servants. The servants released quickly what their lord was doing here. Werewolf pheromones were covering every inch of the alley.
Todoroki's sights were set on the cardboard boxes that were drooping down, ready to collapse. The boxes were too small to hide an adult in there, even if they were in human form. "Allow me to deal with the werewolf, Lord Todoroki." Momo spoke as she pulled out the blade from her side.
Momo immediately stopped when Todoroki put his hand up. "It's a pup." Todoroki mumbled as he started walking towards the box. "If a pup here, the mother isn't far." Iida informed Todoroki but it didn't look like Todoroki cared.
The male approached the wet box, leaning close to it. He grabbed the wet box before lifting it, revealing a little boy that lay on the soft cardboard shivering. Todoroki reached into the box, grabbing the little green hood that covered the boy's face before pulling it down. The first thing Todoroki noticed was the sand blond wolf ears that were pressed against the sandy blond hair.
Todoroki ran his hand down before barely touching the boy's head. He could feel the heat the boy was emitting. "Sire, if the villagers learn a werewolf snuck into the village, it could cause chaos. Please allow me to dispose of it." Momo spoke. "Quiet." Momo quickly shut her mouth when she heard Todoroki's words.
Todoroki pushed his hands under the boy before gently picking the sleeping child up. The little body was heating up. "He's burning a fever." Todoroki informed his companions as he pulled the child closer to his body. "It must have just started. Otherwise, we would have sensed his pheromones a long time ago." Iida mumbled.
The two servants were left shocked as they watched Todoroki take off his coat. "What do you think you're doing?" Iida demanded to know. Todoroki pulled the jacket over the little boy. "I'm taking him home." Todoroki answered. "Why?" Momo was curious. "He's just a pup. He hasn't killed anyone." Todoroki spoke. "Yet. It's only a matter of time." Iida spoke as Todoroki turned around to leave the alley.
"Please think this over, my lord." Iida stated as Todoroki started walking past the two. "I already thought about it. I'm taking him home." Todoroki stated before suddenly disappearing. "How foolish." Iida groaned before he started chasing after his lord. Momo quickly followed.
