Bakugou lay quietly beside Todoroki, who was fast asleep. The room was dark, save for the soft glow of moonlight filtering through the curtains. Unable to sleep, Bakugou's gaze wandered to Todoroki's arm. Gently, he lifted the blanket, revealing the black bruise that extended from Todoroki's hand to his elbow. The sight filled him with a deep sense of guilt and sadness.

With a determined frown, Bakugou carefully slipped off the bed, making sure not to wake Todoroki. He tiptoed out of the room, his small frame blending into the shadows of the dimly lit hallways. He avoided any servants he encountered, his destination clear in his mind: the library.

As he approached the library, Bakugou was startled by a figure stepping into his path. Midoriya stood there, his expression a mix of concern and curiosity.

"Bakugou, what are you doing out of bed?" Midoriya asked softly. "It's late. You should head back to your room."

Bakugou tried to muster his courage, his voice trembling slightly. "Get out of my way, Deku. I need to get to the library."

Midoriya's eyes narrowed slightly. "Why do you need to go to the library in the middle of the night? Can't it wait until morning?"

Bakugou clenched his fists, his resolve unwavering. "I need to find a way to help Todoroki."

Midoriya raised an eyebrow, clearly puzzled. "Help Todoroki? With what?"

Bakugou's shoulders slumped as he explained in a sad tone. "I bit Todoroki, and now his arm is turning black. It's my fault he's dying, and he won't be able to keep his promise and stay with me."

Tears welled up in Bakugou's eyes, his brave facade crumbling. "I have to save him. I have to find a way."

Before Midoriya could respond, Todoroki appeared in the hallway, his gaze sharp and protective. "Midoriya, what did you say to make Bakugou cry?"

Midoriya quickly raised his hands in a placating gesture. "I didn't say anything! It's a misunderstanding."

Todoroki approached, scooping Bakugou into his arms. "Let's go back to the bedroom," he said, his voice gentle yet firm.

As they walked back, Todoroki's hold on Bakugou was reassuring. Once they were back in the bedroom, Todoroki sat on the edge of the bed, holding Bakugou close.

"What were you doing awake, Bakugou?" Todoroki asked softly.

Bakugou's tears flowed freely as he clung to Todoroki. "I wanted to save you, like you saved me. I thought I could find something in the library to help."

Todoroki's heart ached at the boy's earnestness. He gently wiped away Bakugou's tears, smiling softly. "There's no need for you to worry, Bakugou. I'm not dying. The bite will heal with time, and I'll be fine."

Bakugou sniffled, his eyes filled with a mixture of hope and doubt. "But your arm..."

Todoroki shook his head, his expression calm and reassuring. "It's part of the process. I'll recover. I promise."

Bakugou looked up at Todoroki, searching his face for any hint of deceit. Finding none, he finally allowed himself to relax, exhaustion taking over.

"Okay," Bakugou whispered, his eyes growing heavy with sleep.

Todoroki gently laid him down, tucking him in. "Sleep now, Bakugou. I'll be here when you wake up."

As Bakugou drifted off, Todoroki watched over him, his heart filled with a little sadness.

Todoroki was in the middle of getting dressed, adjusting the buttons on his shirt while Bakugou sat on the edge of the bed, looking forlorn. The weight of the previous night's conversation lingered in the air. Just as Todoroki was fastening his last button, a knock echoed through the room.

"Come in," Todoroki called.

The door opened, and Aizawa stepped into the room, his expression as stoic as ever. "Good morning, Lord Todoroki," he greeted.

Todoroki glanced up, his brow furrowing slightly. "What do you need this early, Aizawa?"

Aizawa's gaze shifted to Bakugou briefly before returning to Todoroki. "It's Saturday, my lord."Todoroki's eyes narrowed at the reminder. "Get to the point, Aizawa."

Aizawa sighed, his tone remaining calm but firm. "Your wound isn't getting any better."

Bakugou, who had been quietly listening, immediately clutched Todoroki's shirt, his small hands trembling. "But you said you were healing," he exclaimed, his voice laced with worry.

Todoroki gently petted Bakugou's head, offering a reassuring smile. "I am healing, Bakugou. Don't worry."

He turned his attention back to Aizawa, his eyes hardening. "The wound will be gone before the sun sets," Todoroki declared.

Aizawa studied Todoroki for a moment before nodding. "Very well. I'll check on you at that time. You should take care of it before I have to intervene."

With that, Aizawa turned and left the room, leaving a heavy silence in his wake. Bakugou's grip on Todoroki's shirt tightened as he looked up, his eyes filled with hurt. "You lied to me," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Todoroki sighed, his heart aching at the sight of Bakugou's distress. He gently picked Bakugou up and set him on the bed before kneeling in front of him, bringing them eye to eye.

"Bakugou," Todoroki began softly, "there is a way to get rid of the bite mark, but it might hurt you."

Bakugou's eyes widened slightly, but he shook his head resolutely. "I don't care about getting hurt. I want to help you."

Todoroki felt a surge of pride and affection for the brave young werewolf. He smiled warmly before leaning in to kiss Bakugou on the forehead. "Thank you, Bakugou. Your courage means a lot to me."

He stood up, lifting Bakugou into his arms. "You can help me later. But for now, let's go have breakfast."

Bakugou nodded, resting his head against Todoroki's shoulder as they made their way out of the room. The hallways were quiet, the morning light filtering through the windows, casting a serene glow over the mansion.

As they entered the dining hall, Todoroki could feel Bakugou's grip on him loosen slightly, the promise of breakfast momentarily easing his worries. The table was already set, and the aroma of freshly prepared food filled the air, providing a welcome distraction from the weight of the morning's revelations.

Todoroki placed Bakugou in a chair next to him and began serving them both. Despite the heavy conversation that awaited them later, Todoroki was determined to make this moment as peaceful and comforting as possible for Bakugou.
