The moon hung high in the sky, casting a silver glow over the mansion grounds. On the walls surrounding the mansion, vigilant vampires stood watch, their eyes scanning the dense forest that bordered the estate. Yellow, glowing eyes stared back from the shadows, a silent reminder of the danger lurking just beyond the trees.

Todoroki walked along the wall, his footsteps light but purposeful. He approached a vampire with a muscular, wide frame and short dark blue hair. "Tenya," Todoroki addressed the man, who turned and gave a respectful nod.

"Lord Todoroki," Iida replied, his tone formal.

Todoroki looked out into the forest, the countless eyes reflecting the moonlight. "What's the situation?"

Iida followed Todoroki's gaze. "The werewolves are moving as a pack. It's only a matter of time before they start looking for a food source."

Todoroki's expression remained stoic, but his eyes held a hint of concern.

"Speaking of werewolves, where's yours? He's practically attached to you at the hip."

Todoroki allowed a small smile. "Bakugou is asleep."

Iida glanced at Todoroki, curiosity evident in his eyes. "Is it possible Bakugou belongs to this pack?"

Todoroki shook his head. "Not likely. Bakugou doesn't smell anything like the filth hiding in the forest."

Iida chuckled. "He smells more like a human, but that might be because he's been hiding with humans for so long."

Todoroki's smile widened slightly. "He acts more human too."

Iida mumbled, almost to himself, "It would be nice if one werewolf wasn't a ravaging beast."

Todoroki nodded in agreement. "Indeed."

Their conversation was interrupted by another guard, who approached with a sense of urgency. "Lord Todoroki, Bakugou is awake and looking for you."

Iida smirked. "Must be hard being a parent."

Todoroki's expression softened for a moment. "Bakugou isn't my child, more like a pet," he said, though the affection in his voice suggested a deeper bond. He turned and headed back to the mansion.

As Todoroki entered the mansion, he could hear Bakugou's faint calls echoing through the halls. "Todoroki! Where are you?"

Todoroki quickened his pace, following the sound of Bakugou's voice. He found the young werewolf in the hallway, his eyes wide with worry and his small body trembling slightly.

"Todoroki!" Bakugou ran to him, clutching at his legs. "I couldn't find you. I was scared."

Todoroki knelt down, wrapping his arms around Bakugou in a comforting embrace. "I'm here now, Bakugou. There's nothing to be afraid of."

Bakugou buried his face in Todoroki's shoulder, his fear slowly dissipating. "Don't leave me again."

Todoroki gently stroked Bakugou's hair. "I won't. Let's get you back to bed."

He picked up Bakugou and carried him back to the bedroom, the boy's grip on him tight and unyielding. As they reached the room, Todoroki carefully placed Bakugou on the bed and pulled the covers over him.

"Try to get some rest, Bakugou," Todoroki said softly.

Bakugou nodded, his eyes already drooping with exhaustion. "You promised you wouldn't leave."

Todoroki smiled, brushing a strand of hair from Bakugou's forehead. "I'm sorry. I won't leave again."

As Bakugou drifted back to sleep, Todoroki sat beside him, keeping watch.

Todoroki sat in his study, the glow of the fireplace casting flickering shadows across the room. His desk was cluttered with papers, but his attention was focused on the work in front of him. Nearby, Bakugou sat on the couch, happily indulging in the small snacks that Kirishima had provided. The young werewolf swung his legs over the edge of the couch, his expression one of innocent contentment.

Lost in his work, Todoroki didn't hear the door open. A servant approached quietly, stopping in front of the desk. "Lord Todoroki," the servant called softly, drawing Todoroki's attention.

Todoroki looked up, slightly startled. The servant handed him a letter, sealed with the emblem of his family. Todoroki's eyes narrowed as he recognized his father's crest. He broke the seal and unfolded the letter, reading its contents.

The letter was as cold and demanding as he'd expected:Shoto,I have received word that you have taken in a wolf pup as a pet and have been bitten. This behavior is unacceptable. You are to kill the wolf pup immediately and return home. This is not a request.Your father.

Todoroki's grip tightened on the letter, his anger boiling just beneath the surface. He crumpled the letter into a ball and threw it into the fire pit, watching as the flames consumed his father's orders. The paper blackened and curled, the flames hungrily devouring the harsh words.

Todoroki looked up at Bakugou, who was dangling his feet off the couch, completely unaware of the turmoil that letter had brought. The young werewolf looked up and caught Todoroki's eye, giving him a small, happy grin. Todoroki's heart ached at the sight.

He forced a smile in return, though his mind was heavy with the knowledge of what he had to do. The bite on his hand was a constant reminder of the impending necessity. It wouldn't take a lot of blood to cure a werewolf's bite, but it was still painful for the werewolf. Todoroki hated the thought of causing Bakugou any more pain.

Leaving his work, Todoroki crossed the room and sat beside Bakugou. "Are you enjoying the snacks?" he asked, his voice gentle.

Bakugou nodded enthusiastically, crumbs dotting his lips. "They're really good! Kirishima brought me the best ones."

Todoroki smiled, reaching out to brush a crumb from Bakugou's cheek. "I'm glad you like them."

Bakugou's expression grew serious as he looked up at Todoroki. "Are you okay? You look worried."

Todoroki hesitated, then nodded. "I'm fine, Bakugou. Just a lot on my mind."

Bakugou frowned, sensing that there was more to it but deciding not to press. "Okay. Just remember, you promised not to leave me."

Todoroki's smile softened. "I haven't forgotten."
