You were hanging out at the McKellan's house watching them play bid whist with the kids. It was chaotic.

"Jeb, I am embarrassed that your son cannot play a decent hand of bid whist!" M'Dear laughed.

"Ay, it's been a while. I'm more of a spades player anyway." Moz rebutted.

"Ami," M'Dear called. "What did M'Dear teach you about spades?"

"Spades is for suckers." Ami said. You snorted as Moz looked at you.

"What?" You asked. "It is for suckers, though."

"Uh, wow!" Moz cried. "Okay. Uh, bam! What?"

Moz was confused as Cocoa put down a card.

"Ah! Hey!" She said.

"Wait, wait, what is this?" Jeb asked. "We taking you people uptown now."

"I thought we were going downtown."

"No, Dad, that was the last hand." Jade said. "Come on, keep up."

You fake cried. "Why did I put my money on you, Moz?" The man looked at you in disbelief and betrayal as the family laughed.

"Moz, I am with you till death do us part, but that will be sooner than later if you don't get your game tight!" Cocoa said.

"Don't feel bad, Dad." Mazzi tried to console Moz. "Bid whist is complicated."

Shaka came up next to you, muttered, and said, "I got you!", as he threw down a card.

M'Dear handed Ami a card as she smacked it down. "Bam! We just ran a Boston on you fools!"

"Ayy!" You and Jade said in unison. Just then, Daniel come into the house, but as soon as he looked at you, he yelped.

"Aah! It's the She-Devil!"

You rolled your eyes as he came down the stairs.

"Good news!" He said. "Guess who got a high-paying, well-deserved job?"

You all tried to guess when you came up with something. "Benny from Walmart? He's always so sweet."

"Oh, yeah," Cocoa came in. "He always gives Ami a little smiley face sticker when we come."

Daniel sighed. "What? No! I got a job!"

Everyone started muttering as you felt an arm snake around your waist. You looked down to see Shaka with his head in between your chest. You tried to push him away because you're not really one for PDA and in front of his family as well, but he didn't budge, so you kept him there.

"Oh, oh, oh, come on." Daniel said. "Now, y'all know losing that last job wasn't my fault."

"Oh, really?" You asked. "Yeah, you drive a hearse through the Wendy's drive through."

All of the family laughed. Daniel tried to save himself. "It was my lunch break! It wasn't like my client had anywhere to be, so..."

Cocoa took a shot. "Okay. What job did you get, Daniel?"

"Thank you for asking, Cocoa." He exhaled and got all excited. "I am the new construction foreman for the Tallahassee Green Builders Company."

You rolled your eyes as you played in Shaka's hair. "Don't you know, like, nothing about construction?" You asked.

"Yeah," Ami continued. "You majored in Women's Studies."

"Hush, little girl." Daniel scoffed. "She is one lip job away from turning into a Kardashian." He said as he handed out envelopes to everyone except Shaka.
