"What do you mean, gone?" Snotlout scoffed from where we'd gathered in the stables back on Berk. After the run-in with Sky, Hiccup and I had come back to the village to tell the rest of the gang about her.
I rolled my eyes at him, "You know, how Eclipse and I vanish? Into thin air? Night furies can turn invisible!" I told him pointedly.
Fishlegs was busy sketching a new dragon card, specifically for Sky; the Light Fury card, "What do you think?"
Hiccup glanced at me as I peered over his shoulder and shook my head as I walked past.
"Uh-uh," He denied, "stubbier ears, no dorsal plates." He tried to help Fishlegs and Fishlegs nodded, getting back to drawing.
"Okay, got it," he decided, "Similar to Eclipse, but a much duller shape."
"Yes," I grinned at him, "Make a general note of this, most female Night Furies are sleeker in build." Fishlegs nodded again, taking my notes.
"Haha, what a night," Eret walked into the stables, holding a barrel of hay.
Eclipse bounded in, the other three sisters following her closely. The four of them were bouncing off the walls in excitement, almost literally. Shade and Ivy were normally quite calm and collected, but at that moment they were absolutely impossible to calm down. Eclipse and Cloud were pretty much the same as they always were, enthusiastic but far more difficult to keep still.
Hiccup laughed at the small herd of Night Furies as Toothless walked up next to him and warbled slightly in confusion, "Woah! What-what's gotten into all of you? What's all this slobbering, running, and panting?"
"Isn't it obvious?" I chuckled, "Eclipse told them she saw Sky. They miss their sister."
Toothless grumbled, obviously jealous of how little attention Eclipse was giving him. Hiccup caught on and snickered, elbowing his dragon lightly.
"I know bud, relationships are nothing but pain and misery," He teased, being sarcastic. Toothless rolled his eyes and smacked his jaws in agreement.
I overheard his joke and scoffed as I walked past, "Tch," I rolled my eyes playfully and punched Hiccup's shoulder as I walked by him.
He feigned pain and then looked at Toothless as if to say 'I told you so', "What did I just say?"
I pursed my lips as I looked at Eclipse playing with her sisters in excitement, "Come on, girl. You saw just as well as I did, Sky wasn't herself. She growled at you. I don't think she's coming back..." I told her sadly and the four of them drooped sadly, "I'm sorry- hey- are you even listening to me?"
Eclipse rushed out of the stables and towards the forest and I sighed when Tuffnut replied for her, "I think that's a no."
Toothless watched Eclipse go sadly and warbled under his breath as the other three ran after her.
Fishlegs showed Hiccup another sketch of Sky, "Something like this?"
"You know what," Hiccup decided, "Just trace your female Night Fury card and make her white." He handed the drawing back to Fishlegs who sighed irritably.
"You could've just started with that," He muttered in annoyance.
Eclipse and the other three ran back into the stables and nearly knocked Heather right off of her stool where she was scrubbing Windshear's scales.
