Chapter 10

[If you read this then you must be prepared for the angst. Better prepare some tissues in case you need to cry, I honestly don't know if what I'm I'm making is enough to be an angst that it'll make everyone cry. The return of Lord Takashi with his knights in his land called "Seirin", where people roared joy with delight when they saw Tetsuna back safe and sound and the kidnapper is captured in the flesh. Tetsuna wasn't exactly happy at all at the turn of events, and Kagami can understand why. Even though she's finally back home safe and sound, she still couldn't bear the image of Akashi being tortured by her father and be sent to prison to be executed for his crimes. Why would he go that far? Akashi is kind, surely it was wrong for him to kidnap her, but it wasn't bad spending time with him, so why? More importantly, why the image of him being separated from her is such a familiar and painful scene that she don't want to be separated from him again? So why?

She then remembered what Akashi had said before: 

"You may not remember the promise, but I'll make you remember it. Even if the process I have to do is painful. You understand?"

It widened her eyes when she thought of that. Is it true? She made a promise to Akashi at the age of 6?

Her thoughts got cut off when someone called her and noticed she was in front of her room. 

"You'll stay here until I say so, after all, I don't want my daughter to be traumatized again since she was captured by a beast, no?" Takashi said, going back into a doting father. 

Tetsuna looked at her father with sad and empty eyes. She asked him, "What are you going to do to Akashi-kun, Otosan?" Her Father changed his face into serious, a cold one like he showed when people disobeyed him. "I'll torture him thoroughly that he'll regret for what he did, and straightly kill him to make sure he won't kidnap you ever again. So you my daughter, will stay here since I know your sensitive when seeing such sights like this." 

Tetsuna's face turned pale. She didn't want Akashi to go through such torture. "Otosan, please, you can do what you want with him but don't erase his life from this world! He's not like what you people think, so I beg you, please don't kill him!" Tetsuna begged, clenching his sleeve tight, bursting her tears, but it seems it won't work anymore since Takashi has remained cold in his eyes. What happened to the doting father who'll do anything for his daughter?

"Tetsuna..." Takashi muttered. "It seems you're still brainwashed by that filthy beast, why don't you stay in your room until your wedding day has come, I need to talk some sense into you once I'm done with the filthy work. Throw her in her room and make sure she doesn't escape, you got that?" 

"Yes, sir!" The knights saluted and just like he ordered, They threw Tetsuna in the room and locked her from outside. Making her furious and frustrated. "Kuso....." She didn't expect her Father to respond like that. She felt hurt, and betrayed..... 

That she want to burst out her tears and cry......

Meanwhile, 

At the bottom ground prison, where darkness only lurks and no lights are present, there lays a fragile half-human half-animal creature with red hair, his eyes are dim and empty, and bruises filled over his body with poison spreading mostly on his body, making it worse that he's on the verge of death. He usually has a fast healing ability as part of his animal instinct, but with the poison spreading around, it nullified it and now it's spreading slowly every minute he spend and he didn't know when he will die. As he looked at the abuser with empty emotionless eyes, there was a sign in it that he begged him to stop, but the older man didn't care. After all, how long has he tortured this man for courting his daughter. 

"It's been so long I get to torture you like this," Takashi said. "I wonder how long can you keep up, when you know how every minute you're going to break like a fragile glass." Takashi sneered. 

Akashi, who couldn't stand up anymore because of the painful torture he received many times, he managed to utter a word from his mouth which he couldn't do earlier since the start of the torture. 

"Please.... No more.... I won't go after Tetsuna again... just please.... let me stay by her side, forever......" 

He coughed blood after he managed to say those words. 

Takashi thought for a moment, before he respond. He looked back at the weakened creature before him with heartless eyes.

"You think I'll comply to your stupid request? You stupid beast, don't get carried away!" 

"AGH!" 

He kicked the red-haired in the stomach hard, causing the red-haired figure to spit more blood. 

"It irritates me how you still got courage no matter how many times I tortured you. Do you still believe you can have  Tetsuna all to yourself? Well too bad, because at the day of her wedding, at their wedding reception, I will have you executed in front of everyone as the ultimate gift for my daughter and have all the other beasts executed as well!" 

Akashi angrily glared at Takashi for what he had said. "You bastard! That wasn't part of our deal!"

Takashi laughed cruelly. "You should never made a promise to me in the beginning. After all, I never keep a promise."

Akashi gritted his teeth. He wanted to claw Takashi with his claws and kill him. But because of the poison spreading inside him and the chains tied up his wrists, he couldn't, so he was helplessly stood still, like a domestic animal being punished by his master. 

Takashi pulled out his gun with the anti-beast weapon in it. 

"Did you know? That there's a way to nullify the immortality half-human half-animal creatures that you possesses like the vampires on myth?"

Akashi's attention once caught at his sentence. "What are you-"

"Like how vampires are weak against garlic, sunlight and holy cross, you guys are weak against silver bullets like werewolves. However, that only weakens you, not stop the infinite lives you have in your body. You guys are like ordinary animals, except you're immune to poison. So ingredients we put to make this anti-beast weapon are the toxic treats all animals shouldn't eat." 

"You bastard-?!" Takashi raised his gun at Akashi. "I hope you enjoy your fun time with Tetsuna back then, because I hope you won't have regrets going to the afterlife! HAHAHAHAHAHA"

He left Akashi alone in the prison, laughing cruelly. 

Akashi looked at the cold hard ground once more, filling with grief and sadness all over him. As he accepted the horrible fate he will receive, the fact he couldn't stay by her side anymore, all he say is her name.

"Tetsuna...."

As his memory drifted back to the past.....
