"Kayla?" I asked

"Yes mama?" She asked

"Can you come over here about twelve?" I asked

"Yeah, sure. What's up?"

"I just want to spend time with you and my grandbaby! I have a surprise for y'all too!" I said

"Okay. We will see you in an hour."

"Okay sweetie." I said and hung up.

I dialed Aug's number and he amswered at the last minute. "What's poppin ma?"

"Answer the phone with manners boy."

"Sorry. Hey mama, what's going on?"

"Nothing. But is there any way you can get here by twelve thirty. No earlier though."

"Okay, i'll be thea." He said

I hung up and smiled

Me and Anthony made it to Mama Sheila's house and when we got up to the door she greeted us with hugs and kisses.

"Hey nana!" Anthony cheesed.

"Hey my sweet baby!" She kissed him

"You have anything to eat? I'm hungry. I haven't ate since breakfast yesterday." He said as we walked to the kitchen and sat at the table.

"Kayla! You haven't fed my baby?"

"Mama. I tried he wouldn't eat. I fixed him his favorite meal and he ignored me and wouldn't eat."

"Anthony Alsina! Why you ingnore your mom?" She asked in a serious tone and a serious look on her face

"Because she wouldn't let me go ta swim nana." He pouted

"Anthony, we had just got back home! I told you, you could after you ate and let the food settle."

Mama looked at me then him. "So you could go swimming if you ate but you chose to be smart huh?"

He pouted

"Do that to your mom again and i'm going to whoop your butt.... Kayla. You should start whooping him too and maybe he wouldn't act like that."

"I've whooped him before, I don't like it. It reminds me of how my mom whooped me for nothing."

"Okay, if you don't whoop him take his tablet away, take away anything he likes to do for fun." She said

"Okay."

"Y'all will eat soon, my friend is on their way to pick us up. They are driving us to lunch." She smiled

"Sounds good to me! Is it a guy friend mama?" I smiled

"Yup!" She winked

"Oh shoot! I see you." I laughed

She just smiled. About 20 minutes later the doorbell rang.

"I'll go get it. Stay here."

I looked on my phone and scrolled down my inatagram feed and seen Tati posting crazy stuff! Anthony was talking to me apologizing and all of that and I forgave him. I mean why wouldn't I? He's my son and a four year old.

"Mama you- oh shit."

I turned in my seat to see August.
