My Story (An Avengers Fan Fic)

The Apology

(So I was just derping through wattpad and I found this. I wrote the other stuff while I was sick and my brain was all... bleh... Well I'm continuing it because I have nothing better to do! :D Lol.)

Chapter 5

The Apology

     Tony, Bubba, and I all walked back to the lab. "Steve!" Tony called as we walked in,"why did you lock her in a closet?" Bruce and Steve looked up. "You locked her in a closet?" Bruce asked. Steve held his hands up defensivley. "Well, what was I supposed to do? She wouldn't leave you alone! I didn't want her stupidity getting us all killed! No offense."
     I could not believe my ears. "Did you just call me stupid?"I asked. Steve nodded and I gasped. How could he say that?! "I'm not stupid! And anyway, I wasn't even bothering Bruce! Was I?" Everyone turned and looked at Bruce. He shifted uncomfortably and looked at each of us in turn. He cleared his throat nervously. "Well, uh... Not that much. I could do without being poked constantly though..."
     "HA! IN YOUR FACE! GOES TO SHOW JUST HOW DUMB BLONDES ARE!" I screamed triumphently. I picked up Bubba and put him on a nearby table. I held his front paws and made him do a happy dance. (It was rather cute.)
     "I'm not dumb!" Steve yelled. We spent the next five minutes fighting over who was dumber. We only stopped when Tony got annoyed. He stepped inbetween us with his arms out yelling at us to shutup. "You're both stupid! Ok?" We both glared at him. "No!" Tony rolled his eyes. "Well that's just too bad isn't it? Now Steve, apologize to Cat for locking her in the closet."
     "No way! She deserved it! YOU should be apologizing to ME for letting her out!" Steve declared. This started another argument, but this time between Steve and Tony. At one point it looked like they were going to start throwing punches. That was when Natasha walked in. "What exactly are you two fighting about?" she asked. Tony, Steve, and I tried to explain but it just ended up with me on Steve's back trying to punch him and Tony trying to break up the fight. It wasn't my fault though! Steve kept calling me stupid and a threat to humanity. What was I supposed to do? Trust me, you would have flipped too.
     Well after a couple minutes of watching the fight, Natasha pulled me off Steve and made me sit in the corner. Then she asked Banner to explain. He gave her a look like he'd rather jump off a cliff, but he told her all the same. "Cat wouldn't stop poking me, even when Steve told her to stop, so then Steve threw her over his shoulder and walked out. He came back a couple minutes later looking pretty proud of himself. It was pretty quiet for awhile, that is until Tony and Cat came in. Steve called Cat stupid and they started fighting. Then Tony made them shutup and told Steve to apologize and Steve started whining. Then THEY started fighting. That's about when you came in."
     After hearing the story Natasha looked at each of us in turn. I think she was hoping that someone would tell her he had been joking. When she saw that wasn't happening she told Steve he had to apologize to me. He pouted awhile but eventually he walked over and said he was sorry he called me stupid, and a danger to humanity, and for locking me in the closet.
     After that was over, Natasha told us that we were wanted in the conference room.
