TWs: Mostly Matt baking to impress and mention of blood
Tord groaned as the power went out for the fourth time that month.
"It's the middle of summer- I don't have time for this." He grumbled as he started to feel the heatwave from outside starting to creep into the apartment. He got out his phone, deciding to complain to Pau.
Tord: it's out again
Pau: nothing I can do about it
Tord: you suck
With a sigh, Tord heaved himself from his desk and changed into a tank top and shorts, hoping it would do something.
He was going to text Matt about the situation but realized that Matt had gone shopping for ingredients that day.
The Norsk placed his head in his palm, recoiling quickly at how searing his metal arm had gotten. Holding his face in pain, he regretted not adding a cooling-out mechanism.
'Faen meg...' He wallowed in his misery.

'I got all these ingredients, yet no clue what to bake...' Matt huffed as he waltzed down the sidewalk. He glanced at a group nearby, making him get an idea, 'Maybe my friends can give me a recipe.'
He set his bags on a nearby bench and got out his phone. He knew Tord would take time to respond since he consistently seemed busy inventing stuff, and Edd had a pile of art commissions to complete. That left Tom, who texted back immediately, even if he appeared to not like Matt, and constantly avoided hanging out with him.
Matt: tom ^_^
Like their phone conversations before, the text was immediate.
Tom: what
Matt: what's your favorite dessert?
There was a pause as Matt watched the dots appear, then disappear. The ginger assumed he was thinking about it. Then came the response.
Tom: mille-feuille
Matt blinked, looking at the answer, 'A French recipe?'
Tom: I haven't had it in a long time
Matt: oh?
Matt: I can make it for you :DTom: u sure?
Matt: yep! no prob!
Tom: k
Tom: have funMatt: I will <3
Not thinking through it clearly, he sent the heart emoticon and gathered his bags, proceeding down the sidewalk.
'I should have all the ingredients for it, although...' Matt faltered in his steps, 'what can I do for a decoration?'
It wasn't necessary to add decoration as it adds no flavor to the food, but the ginger felt it was needed this time. As silly as it sounds, he felt the need to impress Tom.
Matt hung his head, 'Agh, I'm already out of the shop- what do I do now?'
"What's gotten you down in the dumps, dude?" A voice asked.
Matt looked up, seeing a petite woman with black hair and moss-green eyes leaning beside a planter with familiar flowers. She was holding a bundle of sage sticks, looking at it meticulously.
