(Strongly inspired by "the departed". Dont sue)
Iwaizumi drove slowly at first. Kuroo snored in the front seat and Bokuto was on his phone in the back next to Akaashi. They all gave their attention to the road when Iwaizumi sped up. Bokuto threw his phone on the floor of the car. Kuroo leaned over to the back seat to wait for Bokuto who was leaning halfway into the trunk.
"Oi you two are blocking my view!" Iwaizumi shoved Kuroo with one hand, while keeping the other on the wheel.
"Alright alright, chill. One second," Kuroo laughed.
Bokuto sat forward again, passing a hand gun to Kuroo and keeping a slightly larger gun in his lap. He looked back at Akaashi and handed him a smaller gun.
"Just in case," he nodded reassuringly. Akaashi nodded back.
On the street ahead of them, an old man was outside a small building that looked like a shop of some sort. He moving boxes into the shop when he heard Iwaizumi rev his engine. The man's eyes widened when he saw the car speeding towards him. He quickly moved closer to the doorway, keeping his eyes on the car and being careful not to get in the way. Kuroo grind as he looked at the man through the windshield.
"Make it quick," he told the guys, making eye contact with the man. His door swung open and Kuroo stepped in front of the man, "inside Mr. Nekomata. Now please," he smiled but there was nothing nice behind it, Akaashi could tell that much.
The man turned around to go inside but Kuroo shoved his head down so he stumbled into the shop. He turned around and Kuroo hit him across the temple with the butt of this gun. Akaashi and Bokuto followed him inside. The man was on his knees on the ground, discussing something with Kuroo. Another man watched from a chair in the corner of the room. Bokuto looked at Akaashi with his head but kept his eyes on the scene in front of him.
"Keep an eye on him," he nodded at the man in the corner. Akaashi nodded back. He leaned against the wall next to where the man sat. The man looked anxious.
"C'mon Nekomata, this is all unnecessary. Give us what you owe or tell us why we don't have it already and you'll be fine," Kuroo chuckled. The man went pale. Kuroo bent down to meet him eye level. He mumbled something but no one could hear it. Akaashi watched the scene and the man in the corner carefully.
Kuroo raised an eyebrow, "what was that?"
"I.." Nekomata swallowed hard.
The man in the corner looked tense. Akaashi noticed this and gave him his full attention. He watched as the man lifted his hand to the inside of his jacket. Akaashi moved quickly, lunging forward and hitting the man in the face with his elbow. He was on top of the man in a matter of second, holding his head against the ground firmly. Bokuto looked over at him with wide eye. There was a hint of a smirk on his lips, but his eyes looked serious as he violently shook his head 'no'. Akaashi looked back at him, confused. Bokuto nodded toward Kuroo, who had stopped his conversation with Nekomata to look at Akaashi.
"What the hell are you doing?" He stood up straight and turned to the scene.
"He was-"
"I was going for my cigarettes," the man cut Akaashi off and looked at Kuroo cautiously.
"Get off of him," Kuroo sighed.
Akaashi moved so the man could get up.
"I thought he had a- he was-" he huffed in frustration and sat back down. Bokuto snickered. Kuroo rolled his eyes and turned back to Nekomata, who was still on the floor looking up at him.
"What were you saying?" Kuroo sounded more frustrated now.
"I'll get it to you! I promise." The man whimpered.
"A promise isn't putting money in my hands Mr. Nekomata"
"Here, here, I'll get you the first half tomorrow," his hands were raised in front of him, almost pleadingly. Kuroo rolled his eyes and kicked the man in the stomach. He doubled over in pain.
"Here's what you're going to do Nekomata," Kuroo almost shouted, "you're going to get me the first half today," The man nodded aggressively, "and the second half tomorrow!" he spoke loudly but he wasn't angry anymore, he looked amused. He grabbed the man's gray hair and made him look up.
"What are you going to do sir?" Kuroo spoke softer now but he still had a small grin on his lips.
"I'm-" the man didn't really say it, he just mouthed the word. Kuroo threw Nekomata's head down, causing the man to fall all the way on the floor.
"What?" Kuroo shouted.
"I'm going to get you the first half today and the second half tomorrow!" The man shouted, protecting his head with his hands. Kuroo laughed.
"Was that so hard?" He cackled.
