Teak came home to find the house eerily quiet.
"Lee-Lee , Trey, where yall at?' Teak yelled as he walked up the stairs.
"Shh baby." Lexy said, putting her finger on his lip.
"Well i'm not use to the house being THIS quiet, yall had me worried for a minute." Teak replied walking into Trey's room.
"You just have to see for yourself huh?" Lexy said watching him sit on Trey's bed to kiss him on the forehead.
Lexy loved how protective he was over them. When they first moved into their house he had all these security cameras installed and had them connected to their phones so they could see what was going on in and outside the house at all times. When they went out in public he always walked behind them so he could see everything that was going on and he stayed strapped. Teak never hesitated with the glizzy in his younger years and nothing has changed since.
" Come here baby." Lexy said as she walked to the bathroom.
She had candles lit , soft music playing, drinks sitting on a small table she had set up by the garden tub that she filled to the rim with bubbles.
" My baby, always thinking about her man. You never cease to amaze me." Teak said.
Those words were music to her ears as she began to undress him.
They spent the next 45 minutes sitting in each others' company, talking about their day and plans for the wedding. Once the water was cold they got out and she dried him off and led him to the room.
"Lay down baby." she said.
Once she dressed herself she pulled out some lotions and oils and began to massage him.
"ooo this feels sooo good baby, I needed this." Teak moaned as she made her way down his body,
" I know, I always know what you need." she replied.
"Speaking of knowing what you need." Teak started.
"Oh Lord, what's been on your mind?" Lexy asked as she rubbed in between his legs.
"Uhh, hmm.. girl don't try to distract me. I was wondering if you wanted to invite your mom to the wedding?"
That question stopped Lexy mid rub.
"I haven't given it much thought." She replied honestly.
"You and Trey are my family. As long as you are here, that's all the family I need."
Lexy did not have the best relationship with her mother. Growing up she was sometimes neglectful and angry and took alot of that anger out on Lexy and her brothers. Often times Lexy had to fend for herself and her brothers. That's what ultimately drew her to Teak. They both were neglected children who needed love. She tried to convince herself that it wasn't a big deal and that her upbringing did not affect her but it did. It determined her career path, how she loved or didnt love. The older she got, the more distance she put between them. Her mom decided to move to Louisiana and she's never been to see her. She sends her gifts on holidays and her birthday only out of respect but emotionally she was detached from her mother.
"Baby I think you should give this some thought. I feel the same way , You and Trey are my family and my only priority but don't you think someone from one of our families should be there? I have no one but your mom is still here. I know she may not have been the ideal mother but she's your mother and maybe its time to forgive."
Lexy hated how reasonable Teak was becoming at times. He was still very hot headed and high tempered every now and then but Lexy leveled him out and she coached him on ways to overcome his anger and aggression and ways to cope with underlying issues. He has definitely matured over the years especially after becoming a father. He gave some of the most sound advice when his mind and heart was clear. At that moment , Lexy wanted him to agree with her and drop it but then again it was something sexy about him challenging her thinking. They definitely learned from each other.
" I mean points were made but I still need to think about it more." Lexy replied.
"Well I'm just putting it on your mind. Whatever you decide, I support you. I want you to be comfortable on your special day." Teak answered, kissing her.
"Our special day." Lexy corrected.
"Now let me put something on you." Lexy said as she pushed him on his back and climbed on top.3 months later
"Girl we are only gonna be gone for a week. Why must we bring all this shit?" Teak asked, eyeing all the suitcases at the door.
"Listen, summer weather can be unpredictable. Its raining one day then hotter than satan's breath the next. I have to be prepared." Lexy chuckled.
"Treyton, lets go son. We can't be late to the airport." Lexy hollered up the stairs.
"Coming ma." Trey yelled.
"Ma? That's what ive been reduced to now?" Lexy thought to herself, realizing her baby was growing up before her eyes.
Lexy locked the doors and turned on the alarms as Teak loaded all the suitcases in the back of the car.
A car pulled into the driveway and a window rolls down.
"Hey girl! yall ready to roll?" Keyshawn yelled out the window.
"Amost. Teak is putting the bags in the car." Lexy replied.
Woddy and Keyshawn looked over and saw the suitcases lined up.
" This is just a mini vacation right? or are yall moving there and not telling us?" Keyshawn asked, laughing.
"Damn let me go help my nigga." Woddy said getting out of the car.
" Wazzup nigguh." Teak said dappin Woddy up .
" Not much. Let me help you." Woddy said, picking up one of the suitcases.
" I can't believe you are actually leaving your shop for a whole week."
"Shit me either but i trust Calvin and I told them niggas if ANYTHING goes wrong all them niggas gotta see me and they are fired." Teak answered , putting the last suitcase in the trunk.
"Aight baby lets go." Teak called Lexy.
"Aight girl, I'll see you in a few." Lexy said to Keyshawn, turning to get in the car.
