We finished the tour of the school ending with the girls dorm.

There were 68 rooms and 186 girls.

We walked down chamber after chamber until we eventually reached housing quarter 28.

Maggie held out her hand and dropped a single silver key into mine.

" Make sure not to loose it." She scolded.

"It is worth more than you know."

Maggie cleared her throat and reached for the handle.

With each slight turn of her wrist the lock clicked into formation and slowly released itself.

The door slid into place and slowly opened revealing a surprisingly spacious area.

Maggie quickly slipped into the room and turned on the lights.

It was now much bigger than it had seemed just a moment before.

The space was well furnished into a modern look.

But just as the walls of the school,
Everything was a dull off-white.

"There is a working kitchen and bathroom and the bedroom is just past that door.

I will let you get settled and will be back in an hour's time for dinner."

Maggie swiftly disappeared leaving me behind in a room I had not grown unaccustomed to.

I started to shiver as the crack through the door had created a chilled draft, just cold enough to raise attention.

My mind started to spin in an ever growing circle trying to grasp a single homely sight.

There was none.

Just white.

Sterile.

I sat my suitcase on the bed and started to pull my belongings from it.

I was going to have to deal with the fact that this was not home.

But it would have to be.

I sat next to my suitcase and pulled my legs close to me.

The next half hour or so was dedicated to finding a place to put my clothes.

Once I was finished I looked back to my suitcase.

My head started to throb and my vision started to blur.

I shook off the feeling and pulled the last item from my suitcase.

I stared intently down at the frame I now held in my hand.

A tear had escaped me and forced itself down my cheek.

Another followed and fell, staining the frame.

There was a boy grinning up at the camera who was no more then six.

His glasses were fogged and his shirt was partially torn from ruff housing earlier that morning.

There pure joy spread across his face and a glisten of hope in his eyes.

His eyes were always like that.

A rush of adrenaline coursed through my veins with astonishing speed.

My heart hardened.

The searing pain in my chest worsened and brought me to my knees as I screamed out in frustration.

It was about to happen...

Again.

I lost complete control of my body. Next was my consciousness.

And unmistakable feeling I could not get used to.

A feeling I would never forget.

I surrendered myself to the darkness that was creeping over me.

I lost myself in the awakening of an immortal soul.
