Grace sat nervously in the apartment for District 12 in the Capitol, waiting for her mentor Katniss to arrive. She knew that they needed to have a serious conversation about her daughter, Faith.
As soon as Katniss walked in, Grace stood up and spoke. "Katniss, I need to talk to you about something important."
Katniss could sense the urgency in Grace's voice and sat down beside her. "What is it?"
Grace took a deep breath before continuing. "If something happens to me in the Games, I want you to raise Faith. I want you to be her guardian."
Katniss looked surprised but didn't hesitate to respond. "Of course, Grace. I would be honored to take care of Faith if something were to happen to you."
Grace felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She knew that she could trust Katniss to keep Faith safe and provide her with the love and guidance that she would need.
But Grace couldn't help but feel a pang of guilt for leaving her daughter behind. "I just wish I could be there for her, to watch her grow up."
Katniss put a comforting hand on Grace's shoulder. "I know it's hard, but you're doing this for her, Grace. You're fighting for her future."
Grace nodded, feeling a renewed sense of determination. She was going to win the Games, not just for herself, but for Faith.
As the conversation came to an end, Grace hugged Katniss tightly. "Thank you for everything," she said.
Katniss hugged her back just as tightly. "You're welcome, Grace. We're all in this together."
As Katniss left the apartment, Grace watched her go with a sense of gratitude. She knew that she had made the right decision, and that Faith would always be in good hands with Katniss as her guardian.
