"You're braver than I could ever be." Lilly sighed from her spot in the driver's seat. It had been a good half hour since my encounter with Manuel and I felt deflated. The drive so far had been completely silent, the only sound came from the engine.

"Shouldn't I feel good? I mean shouldn't it be like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders?" I asked more to myself than to Lilly.

"Well it's hard when you like the guy." Lilly spoke, her words bounced off the walls. Could it be because I liked him? That would explain the stabbing pain in my chest. I let out a loud sigh and leaned my head against the cool glass of the car window, letting the cold sooth my pounding headache.

"How much longer until we get to the hotel?" I asked.

"Five or so minutes." She said, turning her head to look at me. "Alex, everything is going to be okay, you know that."

"Define okay." I muttered under my breath.

"As in everything is going to go as planned, you're going to make it onto the team and you're going to have a hell of a good time." She said turning her gaze back onto the road."I doubt it."

I groaned, pinching the bridge of my nose.

"If you don't make it onto the team then they're blind idiots that don't deserve you on the team." She said matter-of-factly. "We're here by the way."

"Do you want to come with? Kinsey has all of our bags packed. She just needs help bringing it down to the car." I said with a soft shrug.

"I'll come with." She smiled, parking the car and turning it off.

"Thanks Lilly. Thank you for letting us stay at your parents summer home." I smiled as we walked side by side into the hotel.

"Don't mention it. Anything for a friend." She grinned back. The rest of the way up to the hotel suite was a comfortable silent.

"Alex! Thank god." Kinsey sighed once the door opened.

"Kinsey, what's wrong?" I smiled.

"I was worried, when you called me to tell me what happened I started to freak out. Forget about Manuel, he's a dick of epic proportions." Kinsey enveloped me in a bone crushing hug.

"Lilly, I want you to meet Kinsey. Kinsey this is Lilly." I introduced once Kinsey let go of me.

"It's nice to finally meet you. Thank you so much for letting us stay with you." Kinsey thanked, enveloping Lilly in the same bone crushing hug that I was in moments ago.

"Anything for a friend. It's nice to meet you too." Lilly laughed.I walked away from the two and a small smile played on my lips as I sat at the piano.

"You didn't even get to play it." Kinsey spoke from beside me causing me to jump.
