A soft, cool breeze blew across my face causing me to shiver slightly. My hands wrapped around my body, drawing my jacket as close as I could to my body for warmth.

"Alex, honey, come on! I don't want to be late for our meeting." My best friend Kinsey shouted over her shoulder as she scurried to hail a cab.

"Kinz, we have three hours to spare, calm down." I let out a light laugh as I came to stand beside her, leaning back every time a taxi would zoom by.

"Shut up." She grumbled waving her hand in the air in hopes of a cab stopping. I rolled my eyes and started to chew on my bottom lip, my eyes wandering around the near buildings. Kinsey and I lived in a two bedroom two bathroom apartment in a town on the outskirts of New York that had enough space for the two of us even though we were never home. I was a journalist working for the town's newspaper and Kinz was my 'PA'.

"About damn time." I said under my breath as a yellow cab pulled to a stop in front of us. Kinz opened the door and entered, scooting to the far side of the back seat allowing me to get in beside her.

"Where to?" The cab driver asked gruffly, clearly not happy about his job.

"Central Park please." Kinsey replied pulling her cellphone out of her Louis Vuitton purse and started tapping away.

"What are we going to do at Central Park?" I asked leaning my head against the window, watching as the buildings flew by.

"We're going there to meet a friend of mine." Kinz stated checking her nails before returning to her attention to her phone.

"You have friends?" I asked in fake shock, putting my hand over my mouth to emphasize. Kinz turned her head and glared at me.

"Ha. Ha. Very freaking funny asshat." Kinsey grumbled just as the taxi pulled up to the curb just outside of the park.

"That'll be 20 bucks." The taxi driver huffed as I reached into my coat pocket and pulled out a 20 dollar bill and handed it to him.

"Thanks," I uttered as I scooted out of the taxi with Kinsey close behind. Once we all managed to get out I let out a huff before crossing my arms over my chest in hopes of getting a little bit warmer. "So where is this 'friend' of yours?"

"Right over there," She giggled, her face lighting up with happiness as she ran over to a tall figure standing by a hotdog stand. "Manuel!"

"Kinsey!" The tall stranger gleamed as he wrapped his arms around Kinsey's waist.

"Manuel, this is my best friend and my roommate Alexandria," Kinz grinned putting her hand on my shoulder, "Alexandria, this is Manuel Neuer."

"It's an honor to finally meet you, Kinz has said so much about you." Manuel smiled holding out his hand for me to shake, which I gladly did.
