Y/N pov:

As I finish unpacking the last box, I look around at my new-ish home. I've lived here for a few months now, and I've had a job in this area for even longer, though I've only just now finished unpacking the last box, so I guess now it's official. I'm usually pretty worn out after work, and can only do a few things before heading to bed. But it was pretty slow today, since it's only a day before classes are out for the summer.

I break down the box and throw it away, then sit on the couch. I turn on the TV, and watch the news for a bit. As I watch, I see a story, saying that Dr. Eggmans associate, Dr. Starline is on the run. Starline, what could have led you down this path? You were so brilliant, yet you squander your potential with the likes of him, what a waste. How can that maniac Eggman even call himself a doctor? More like a mad scientist if you ask me. After a bit more watching, I turn off the TV, and lay down on the couch. I scroll around on Instagram and reddit for a bit, and I fall asleep, ready for the semester to be done.

The next morning, I quickly get up as I hear my alarm, and walk to the kitchen. I reach into my fridge and pull out some leftover salad I bought a few days ago. It still smells alright, so I pull it out and drizzle some ranch on it. I slowly eat, reading news articles on my phone, mostly about the newest breakthroughs on how to fight disease and cure ailments that were otherwise a death sentence. I finish my food and throw the container in my sink. I'll just wash it when I get home. I get dressed in semi formal clothes, and head outside. As I pass my mailbox, I check it, and I pick up all the mail.

Junk, junk, junk, credit card I don't need, and an envelope with no return address... huh. Someone just stuffed it in my mailbox? I look around, wondering who would know where I live to do that. I shake my head and look down at my watch, and see that I'm a bit late. I quickly hop into my car, and quickly head to the university.

As I get there I notice there are practically no cars in the parking lot, which is pretty normal this late into the semester. I park and head to my auditorium. When I get there, I see there are two students here. On the last day, I don't see why anyone comes at all. I sit at my desk, and set my bag down. I pull the mysterious envelope out. I attempt to open it, as I'm curious to see what it i-

"Excuse me, Professor?" I look up from the envelope, and see a student who is particularly interesting. He really wants to pass this class, but he also goofs off and cracks jokes, among other things quite often. "What can I do for you?" I set down the letter as I speak. "The final, I thought it was going to be curved." I smile. "It was curved." He looks shocked. "What!? How did I fail then?" I smile wider. "You fell asleep during the reviews. I tried to wake you up, but you went right back to sleep, so I left you alone." He looks like he's panicking. "Oh god... I spent my savings in tuition this year..." I sigh and look at the computer in front of me. "Give me a minute."

I pull up his grade, and I see he's only failing by a few points. "Ok, get two of these three pop quizzes right, and I'll give you enough points to pass." He looks relieved. "Oh, thank you, man!" I nod. "What is the scientific name for the throat?" "Ummm, the pharynx?" I nod. "Correct! Now, what is the bone that whales have that classify them as mammals?" He stands there, dumbfounded. "Ummmm..." "Time's up, the answer is inner ear bones." He exhales loudly. "Ok, now what are the veins connected to the heart called?" He thinks for a moment. "Superior Vena Cava and Inferior Vena Cava."

I smile. "Nope." He looks like he's seen a ghost. "No way you got that one." He smiles and lays his entire top half on my desk. Laughing, maybe crying as he does. "Duuude, you gave me a heart attack!" I laugh a bit. "We didn't even go over that, how did you know that one?" He sighs, and stands back up. "I was reading an article last night about heart disease. It mentioned those things." I snort in amusement. "Lucky. Alright you passed, now get out there and take initiative." He smiles.

"It probably isn't the best idea to give me a few points so I can pass a Biology class, what if I want to be a surgeon?" I stand up, and walk to the chalkboard, and I begin to draw a hand, and an eye. "Well, being a surgeon requires hand-eye coordination like no other, something I can tell you don't have. Besides, if you wanted to be a surgeon, you would actually have a decent grade, and we wouldn't be here." He hums with curiosity. "How do you know I don't have good hand-eye coordination?"

"Because, I've watched as you write, your hand shakes, and your eyes are constantly looking to the pretty girl sitting beside you. Unless you have Parkinsons, you have bad hand-eye coordination, and you're desperate."

I don't even have to look at him, and I can tell he's blushing. "You notice all that huh?" I nod. "Sometimes it's better to observe instead of speak." He sighs, and I hear him turn. "Well, thanks teach, see you around." I smile as I hear him walk away. "Perhaps you will." As he closes the door, I walk to my desk, and sit back down, staring at the envelope. I suddenly hear a knock on the auditorium door, and I sigh.

"So many interruptions today... Come in, it's unlocked!"
