Chapter 47

                             Felix's POV
Pixelle Stella Lee...

You are an actual lifesaver.

"Dadda?"

"I'm coming buddy. Ima coming."

I opened the bathroom door and looked down. Bolt waved.

"I just talked to mommy. She gave me some ideas for us to do."

He tilted his head to the side. I walked out of the bathroom and went over to the couch. He stood in front of me.

"There's a zoo and aquarium around here. We could go check out the beach across the street. We could get ice cream. We can do a few other things."

"I'm sleepy."

"Okay. Let's just stay here."

I got room service for us and we ate dinner.

"We can figure out what to do in the morning."

We got ready for bed. We laid down and started watching tv. He started rubbing one of his eyes. I turned the tv off and put the remote on the side table.

I listened to the rain hitting the building. I heard thunder and rolled over. I slid my hand under his head and covered it. I felt something hit my hand.

"You're okay. You're safe."

"I-I am?"

"Yes little man. Go back to sleep. You're okay. You're inside and it's just a noise. It's okay that, you're scared. I was too. I was scared of the dark for a while. Do the nightlights help you?"

He nodded.

"Do you feel any better now?"

He shrugged.

"Okay. That's okay."

I started rubbing his back. He slid his tiny arms underneath mine.

"I got you. Nothing's gonna happen to you again. You're okay."

He yawned. I felt his body relax.

I know it's because of a bad situation but...

I hope he grows up and remembers spending time with me.

I enjoy this time.

Just me and my son...

I dozed off after a while. I woke up and Bolt was playing with his tablet.

"Hey bud."

"Hi dadda."

"Did you sleep okay?"

He nodded.

"Good. I'm glad. What do you want to do today?"

He shrugged.

"Okay."

I started listing things to do.

"Fishies!"

"You wanna go see fishies?"

He started getting excited.

"Okay. Okay. Relax. Let's get something to eat."

We got food and ate. I grabbed my backpack and started going through everything.

"Diapers, wipes, extra clothes, and I feel like...I'm forgetting something. Hmmm. This is  gonna bug me.

"Tablet?"

I turned around and saw Bolt holding his tablet.

"Oh! That might be it!" 

I found his spare tablet and made sure it was charged.

"Oh! That's what it is! Portable chargers! Not sure, how long we'll be gone for."

I grabbed the fully charged portable charger. I grabbed the plugs and put them in the front pocket of my backpack.

"Anything else?"

I went through everything and made sure, I wasn't missing anything. I put my backpack on. At the aquarium, he wanted to run in.

"Hold on! Hold on!"

I grabbed a map and handed it to him. He opened it and started trying to read it.

"Just look at the pictures for now. Where are we going?"

He pointed to the sharks and I started walking.

                               Pixelle's POV
I hate when Felix's away. He's my person. He's my best friend. Him going on missions hurts. I always worry about him not coming home.

I know he promised this one would be his last but...

Deep down...

I know it won't be...

One will suddenly pop up...

Only he'll be able to solve the issue...

I hate falling asleep with him not next to me.

"Aunt Ellie? When are they coming home?"

"Some point next week."

"Is the baby okay?"

"Mhm. The baby's okay."

He was sending me updates. I was getting pictures.

I miss the both of them..

I hate Daphne. I don't understand how he was friends with her. I'm not jealous. I'm just pissed off. She came into my house and took my son. Of course...I hate her.

Chan walked up to me. Nobody was with him. My heart started racing.

"Don't tell me he's..."

"He's not. Hasn't he been talking to you?"

"H-he has. You have nobody with you and I got scared."

"Relax. I don't have bad news."

"Why are you alone?"

"I actually came to check on you and Nova."

"Oh well...we're okay. I just miss him. He wasn't hurt right? He didn't lie?"

"He didn't lie. He's perfectly fine."

"I-I'm sorry."

I got a text a few hours later.

Felix has sent a photo

I opened it and saw a selfie. It was the boys eating ice cream.

How cute!

Wait...

His birthday's soon!

Bolt's gonna be 2!

"Hey Novey? Wanna go get some party stuff for Bolt?"
