Dear Diary,
I guess you could say today was normal. It's Sunday and I had nothing much planned so I spent most of my day sitting at the piano. My fingers stroked the keys gently and sank into them, releasing each note. I fumbled about with random chords and once I had settled into a pattern, I began to sing. My voice explored it's entire range, the lyrics just coming to my head in waves of inspiration. Every few minutes, I jotted them down, just for my pleasure. It felt so good to be writing songs, it was my favourite thing to do. It wasn't long before my song was complete and I played it through a few times, proud of my work before recording it. I opened up YouTube on my phone and went to upload it to my empty channel, my finger hovered over the upload button but, once again, my courage failed me and I just couldn't. What if someone found it? What if people laughed? It wasn't a risk I was prepared to take. So I recorded some more covers and allowed time to pass me by whilst I indulged in what I loved to do most.
