"So... Has he texted you?" I shook my head sadly, even though I should've known that nothing would ever come out of mine and Brad's encounter, I was foolish enough to have hoped. It was heart-breaking. "Hannah..." My close friend Drew continued "I'm so sorry... He seemed so into you." Tears threatened at my eyes though I valiantly fought them back. "Yeah well.. I guess he's forgotten." I tried not to sound too bitter but the words tastes vile in my mouth. "I'm so sorry..." I hesitated "but do you think maybe I could have some time alone?" Drew nodded thoughtfully. "Of course Han, but know that I'm always there for you and I'm just a call away." I hugged her tightly. She knew just what I needed. She then left, leaving me and my thoughts alone.
My phone vibrated next to me. I jumped. My hopes were lifted once more but it was only Drew, checking up on me. My phone kept vibrating but they were my friends, also seeing how I was. It vibrated more and more until it began to get on my last nerve, I turned my phone round and unlocked it before turning off vibrate. I quickly scrolled through my messages and my heart lurched when I read the following message from an unknown number. "Hey Hannah, it's Brad Simpson. Look, I'd really love to meet up, can I meet you somewhere? Xx" I wracked my brains for an appropriate reply before settling with. "Hi Brad Simpson, that sounds great!! Name the time and place. Xx"
