FEW MONTHS AGO
it was late at night when claire heard a knock on her door, she strided over wondering who could be the person that was knocking on her door at this time. so many thoughts and wonders crossed claire's mind but not one was whatever she expected that night.
when claire finally opened the door, she saw abeline walker, on the other side of the door, with a distressed look on her face.
"abby? what's wrong?"
"i...i just...can i come in?"
"uh...sure" claire was confused by abby's behavior
but claire was to never say no to abby, who has been there for her so many times. so how could claire look the other way or even question anything? abby stepped in before looking around hysterically, causing claire to be more alert before finally asking abby what was going on.
"you have to hear me out, with no judgment" responded abby
"o-okay, you're kind of scarring me" responded claire
"i'm serious, claire!" abby grabs both of her hands
claire looks down at her hands then back at abby before asking once more what was happening. abby took a seat with claire following her.
"i think i've done something, started something if anything" responded abby
"what? what did you do?" claire asked
"do you know gary from stan's store, morrison seed and track"
claire nodded her head before saying: "oh my god, did you murder him? is his body out in your trunk? i got shovels"
"what! no! no! i didn't murder him"
claire furrowed her eyebrows before asking what happened then. abby looks at her before saying: "i think...i may have got into something with gary"
claire stares at abby confused at what her friend was insinuating before finally gathering everything. although abby told claire to give her no judgements, it was hard for claire to do just that considering she has been the spouse who has been cheated on.
abby knew that, hell she hated stephen for even doing that and cursed him. hell, abeline swore to claire that if stephen ever showed his face again, or begged claire to come back that abeline, herself would personally escort stephen out from texas. now abeline was sitting in front of claire, telling her to not judge, eventually telling her to understand where she was coming from.
"it's just, you know how me and bonham have been going through a rough patch going and i just..."
"you just want? find someone else without even trying" claire quickly snapped

"i do get it, abby! you of all people know that i get it! you are the same person who had belittled stephen before the affair! and then afterwards threatening to run him out of this state if he was to ever show his face again!" shouted claire
