{Chapter 26} The Disguised Psychopath

"Are you serious?"

"Do we sound like we
are joking?"

"How do you know?
Are you sure this medicine
is really causing all this?"

"Jungkook said that.
Apparently it's a very expensive drug that can be bought on the black market as most country banned it."

"Well...now that you speak about it...I did start getting back my memories after a few days of not taking it...but why would Tae-ho be doing this to me?"

"Are you blind?!
Your Tae-ho is V! The fucking killer!
Get the fuck out of there?"

"He just wrote names in the books.
Tae-ho has been with me for hours now...how did he kill these people?"

"Listen I don't know but that
man is fucking dangerous."

"I'll try to find a way out of this.
I'll stay in contact and If I stop replying call the cops."

"Okay but wait Y/N!
No matter what do not drink these
pills! Even if he insist! Do not!"

"Yes!Yes! He is coming now."

"Do not drin-"

You quickly pressed the hang up button before hiding your phone in your pockets. Tae-ho opened the door and handed you a plastic bag, full of snacks. "Thank you!" You forced out a joyful voice. "Eat well...also I bought your pills." He paused for a second. "Just in case you have trouble sleeping later." Tae-ho smiled. "Hehe yes. Thanks" You looked down.

He sounds soo genuine.
How could he have done these atrocious murders over these years?
He doesn't look like a murderer at all.
I mean...

You turned to him and stared at him for a minute. He did not have the looks of a killer neither of a psychopath.

Even if he was the killer...why would he be doing that to me? I doubt that V has this much time to waste on one victim only.

"You seem a little concerned..." Tae-ho's deep voice snaped you out of trance. "No..I just feel a little sick." You mumured the last words. "Are you already bored of me?" Tae-ho asked in a playful tone. "No, of course no...maybe I'm just hungry." You grabbed the chocolate bar from the plastic bag. "By the way...I don't know if I'm crossing the line but...how many years have you been living alone?" You asked raising an eyebrow. "Uh yes. That was very sudden." Tae-ho laughed.

"You just moved into it right? I was just wondering...you used to live far from here or were you already around Seoul?" You turned to him, waiting for his reply. Tae-ho had an unreadable expression before quickly switching up to a smile. "Well I was just around...I've been living alone for about a few years now." He said with his usual voice.

"Do you have any family?" Tae-ho chuckled. "You are really curious."He murmured. "Well the point of this trip is to get to know each other so..." You said, rubbing the back of your neck. "I do and I did live with my uncle before now they are busy with their own life." He mumured.

"Before?" You asked, shifting your position to face him. "I moved out." Tae-ho's voice came out like a whisper, making you look down, feeling a little guilty. "I'm sorry." Tae-ho did not waste time to reply. "No no!It's okay...I just could not burden my uncle anymore. He had taken care of me since my father left."

"Let's change the subject umm did you already pay your fees for university?" You sighed heavily before replying. "Umm not yet...I might need to borrow some money from my parents but I'll be fine." You rolled down the window, letting the fresh air hit your face. "If you need help, just call me okay?" He smiled at you. "I will." You replied.

The rest of the ride was just the two of you having casual short chats.
You thought about mentioning questions about V but instead you kept your mouth shut.

"Y/N?" You were snapped out of your thought when Tae-ho opened the car door for you to come out. "Uh?" You stared at him with wide eyes.  "Aren't you hungry?" He asked.
Glancing behind him, you noticed a restaurant on the beach, blinding you due to it's big bright neon sign. "Oh yes yes!" You jumped out of the vehicle.

"This is where we will staying." He pointed at a hotel which was only a few feet away from the restaurant. You hummed as a reply. "Let's go." Tae-ho extended his hand. You glanced at his hand before immidiately looking away, pretending to have seen nothing as you started walking foward. Tae-ho awkwardly cleared his throat and ran after you.

"Let me treat you okay?" You turned to him. "Why?" He asked. You scoffed. "You are paying for my stay so let me pay for your food." Tae-ho chuckled. "That's fine, I can pay." He argued. "I'm paying...discussion is over." You said, confidently as you fastened your pace.

Suddenly something cold squirted on your hand. "Ahh that's cold!" You yelped, backing away. "Attack the giant monster!" A small boy who looked like he was around three ran towards you with a group of kids, holding massive waterguns. 

Before you could react, Tae-ho stepped infront of you. Letting himself get soaked in water. The kids laughed as they watched the older man. "Hey you!" Tae-ho pointed at the little boy. "You mother is watching." He directed his funger towards a random woman who stood in a crowd. The little boy screamed before running away, the rest of the group followed after him.

"How did know that it was his mom?" You asked, stepping infornt of Tae-ho. "I did not know." He laughed. You smiled thinking about the weird yet funny interaction.
Pulling out your handkerchief, you started patting Tae-ho's face with it.

"We should head to the hotel first so that you can change." Tae-ho shook his head side to side when hearing your words. "But-" He cut you off mid sentece. "My coat is the only thing affected." Taking off his soaked coat, he grasped your hand and dab it all over his chest and stomatch area. "See?" He raised his eyebrow at you.

"Okay! It's cold though are you sure you can-" You quickly took your gabd off his chest. "Of course! Let's head inside now...I am starving." He took the chance to grab your hand and lightly pull you with him as he walked foward.

"By the way...why is there soo many people? At this hour?" You questioned. "Summer vacation is coming to an end and it is honeymoon season." He replied with a slight smile.

Entering the restaurant, you gazed around. The atmosphere was very lively and carefree. A band was playing live jazz music as people on the dance floor danced. On the other side of the restaurant was a mini bar where people were all being amazed by the bartenders. Families were eating and having a great time together. Everything felt perfect.

Do you like it?" Tae-ho asked, gazing at you.

"I love it."

I know it has been months since I last updated and I am sorry.
I had face some kind of writer block but I am back from the dead now.

I have decided to put an update schedule so I will update on
Every Friday.
In case of impediment then I will update on Saturday or Sunday.
