As soon as Oakley parked, she found the door open, got out,(closed it) and speed walked towards the dorms. Although to the students who were hanging around campus, she would've seemed to be running.

When she got to her dorm she rushed into her room almost bumping into Dakota as she was just about to leave for her drama class. Oakley knew that Dakota would be giving her a weird gaze but didn't care. Gigi sensed that something was wrong and hopped off the couch to run beside her into her room. Oakley closed the door and promptly flopped on the bed with her back and Gigi hopped and curled onto her stomach, purring as Oakley stared at her phone's screen with the most recent text message.

*missed call*

Oakley?

Sorry, but can I call u back in a couple minutes

Ok but be quick, it's kinda? important

👍

Oakley clicked on Bruder's profile and hit the call button, she listened to it ring for a couple seconds before the call was answered.

"Hello?" said a monotone male voice on the other line, "Matt, so sorry I didn't answer earlier, I was at work you see." Oakley babbled "Ah, that's no problem, I just called to ask if you would like to come over in a couple weeks." Matt asked, Oakley nodded before realizing that she wasn't on facetime. "Sure, I can make room for it, but why so suddenly?" She asked as Matt never called unless it was a special occasion. "You forgot?" Matt asked with a slight hint of surprise being heard, "It's the anniversary of mom's death." He said bluntly.

Oakley paused, looking not too unlike a deer in headlights. Flashbacks that she couldn't stop arose in her brain. Images of her as a young girl and a young woman who was probably her mother happily reading through books of aircraft and playing in wisteria trees, sometimes with a young boy. The happy images of her mother smiling at her suddenly flashed into her cold dead eyes staring at her as she was laying in a makeshift hospital bed with half of her body missing and looking a strange neon green. Oakley didn't realize it but she had started crying at this thought.

Matt must've noticed that something was off with Oakley and proceeded to the next topic, "So I was wondering if you would like to come back home to spend time with me for the week?" He asked, effectively snapping Oakley out of her daze, "W-will father *sniff* be there" Oakley mentally cursed herself for the sound of her voice. "Well-"

Matt was about to answer when the slam of a door in the background was heard followed by a drunk sounding male shouting, 'Oi Gör, wo bist du!'(Oi brat, where are you!)

"I have to go now, will you come?" Matt said, sounding the slightest bit frantic. Oakley thought for a second about the events right now. "Yes, see you in a couple weeks."
