Chapter 19

Oakley and Kuo had fun that day, Dakota had a little less fun considering they kept teasing her about her lover. They finished shopping and said goodbye to each other as Oakley and Kuo briefly met Dakota's girlfriend Haven when she came to pick her up. Then they got into their car and drove off, and Oakley decided to talk to Kuo about something that's been on her mind.
  "Hey Kuo," she started, "yeah" Kuo answered, eyes focused on the road. "You know, it's been a month of me staying at your house and college graduation is coming up." She explained, not wanting to startle Kuo into an accident. "...You want to go back to the dorms for the last month of college, correct?" Kuo guessed, Oakley was a bit surprised, "How did you know?" She asked, Kuo sideways glanced at her. "I mean, I figured that I can't keep you at my place forever. Especially now since you actually got some stable help and stood up to Alex." She joked, "Besides, I bought all that foodstuff? I figured that you'll ask to leave tomorrow and decided to send you off on a delicious feast." She smiled. Oakley looked at her amazed that she knew all that, "Thanks Kuo, but you also bought meat and vegetables. You can't cook[Kuo elbowed her], ow, so I'm assuming that I will be cooking dinner." She teased, Kuo turned red with embarrassment. "Y-yeah, so what if I want to eat good food with you. At least I will be making dessert." Oakley raised a brow at her, as Kuo slapped her left hand over her mouth. "Oh? What kind of dessert?" She questioned leaning closer to her. Kuo smacked her lightly with her hand, "s-shut up, it's a surprise. Now help me with the groceries, we have arrived." She said parking in her parking space.
  Oakley chuckled as she shuffled out of the car and grabbed most of the goods in the back, leaving Kuo with one bag which had her baking materials. Kuo looked at her concerned as she held 6 bags in each arm and a bag in her teeth. But Oakley gave her a determined grin as Kuo just shook her head and opened the door for her. Once they unpacked all the groceries and put the clothes away, They immediately got started with their devices. Oakley made a delicious stir fry of beef, carrots, corn, and onions. Then made an Italian wedding soup with little round noodles, and finally stole some of Kuo's fruit to make some cute toppers for their alcoholic beverages. Kuo in the meantime, got started on her dessert and while making the dough was startled as Oakley stole some of her fruit enough to knock her flour over an unfortunate Gigi, who was now covered in white powder. The action also somehow gave Oakley a white face mask, Kuo looked up before laughing at Oakley's predicament. Oakley just smirked, then picked up Gigi and put her on Kuo's head. The cat was very calm during the situation, Kuo was not,she yelled at a sudden mound of flour on her head a face then poured at Oakley before having her acknowledge that her soup was overflowing which she paled and rushed to the stove. Kuo snickered and continued making the dough of a large fruit pie.

20 minutes later

Eventually, the pie was baking in the oven and Kuo and Oakley cleaned the kitchen up, leaving the dishes on warming, then went to the bathroom and cleaned most of the flour off their bodies and Gigi's fur, promising to comb the rest out of her fur after dinner. They then set the table and ate a pleasant dinner while chatting together, Kuo fed scraps to Gigi behind Oakley's back and stared at the ceiling off a lot fewer during the meal. After dinner, they washed off the rest of the flour from their bodies as well as Gigi's fur and watched TV together till the oven beeped, signaling the dessert was ready. They laughed and joked around as they ate, Oakley caught Kuo feeding Gigi a blueberry and playfully scolded her but they laughed at her embarrassment regardless. Finally, Kuo helped Oakley pack up the rest of her stuff, ready for the morning. Then they got ready for bed and Oakley made sure Kuo fell asleep by her side, relaxing into a pleasant dream.
