A week had passed and Oakley was working with Kuo on Saturday, she had also brought Gigi after getting the play from Kuo. She was working normally until Kuo told her to go sit at a table in the cafe. Somehow that led to her and Gigi sitting next to Toby and across a terrifying woman with red highlights in her hair who went over Oakley despite Oakley being unnaturally taller than average. They were just sitting in an awkward silence as Kuo brought over an espresso, putting it in front of the lady. Gigi purred loudly against Oakley's cheek as Toby was fiddling with his fingers but finally decided to speak up after realizing that no one was going to say anything.
"S-so.... C'est ma sœur aînée(This is my eldest sister), Bella. Uh, Elle est une(She is a) psychologist and I was thinking that puisque vous semblez en avoir besoin-(since you seem to be in need of one-)" He blabbered alternating between French and English before Bella cut him off. "Je vais le prendre à partir d'ici petit frère(I'll take it from here little brother)" She said to him before looking at Oakley, "As my little brother said, I'm Bella, pleasure. I also heard that you are in need of a new therapist? I doubt I'm the best person for the task but Toby insisted for me to help his friend so here I am." She explained. "Ah, I see" Oakley replied then hesitated for a moment, "The thing is, while I am looking for some help... I just don't know if I'm ready for a new therapist yet after my old one..." Bella nodded, "That's perfectly understandable, you need time to heal from a traumatic experience." "But-" Toby interrupted, "Let me finish, Toby" Bella said with a slightly annoyed tone and Toby clamped his mouth shut, "But, you can't just keep putting your problems off for the next day as you will never be able to overcome them if you don't treat them." She continued. Oakley looked down hesitating, "I- don't know..." Bella sighed.
At that moment a familiar blond had just finished ordering her drink and spotted the trio. Taking the liberty to plop next to the large lady, elbowing her in the arm. As Bella gave an annoyed look at her and Oakley stared at her in surprise as Gigi meowed happily at the newcomer. Callie had entered the conversation.
"Oh, it's you" Bella deadpanned, Callie gave her a cheeky grin. "What's with the frown face? I just heard you talking to my roommate and decided that I will join." Oakley looked at the two of them[Gigi mimics her], "Callie, you know her?" She questioned and Callie gave her a huge smile. "Yep~ This lady here happens to be one of the best therapists in the state at the moment and my favorite gaming rival. I won that last Pokémon battle, by the way." She directed to the lady while leaning against her. Bella actually smirked, "Heh, yeah you won. After, I won the first 3 games." Callie playfully glared at her before directing her gaze back to Oakley. "Yeah yeah, as I was saying, if you're looking for a therapist then you should totally be Bella's patient. She may be mean as f*ck on the outside but on the inside, she's a big softy." Callie got a slap against the back of her head for that as Toby laughed, "What your friend said is true." Toby said while Bella just huffed and rolled her eyes. "So? What do you say?"
Oakley was entertained by the banter between the two and wanted to trust them. But, she wasn't sure after all, it was partially Callie's fault for putting Oakley in Alex's care. Also, she wasn't sure if she should trust Bella's words since she didn't exactly look the most gentle...
As Oakley mulled over her decision, Kuo walked up, placing an affogato in front of Callie and cupping Oakley's hands around a cup of Latte and Gigi whacked her face with her paw. Oakley was startled out of her thoughts and looked up at Kuo who gave her a determined look.
"I think you should trust her, and if it helps to know, I looked up her bio online and Callie was right in her being the best therapist in the state. Please Oakley, I know you've been trying to heal after separating from Alex but you need to open up at some point. Besides I can't be your therapist- SHE IS OBVIOUSLY INCAPABLE!" Kuo blurted and covered her mouth, the others jumped at her outburst. "Sorry, Suzi again." She said sheepishly. Toby and Oakley sighed while Bella and Callie looked at her confused. Then everyone looked at Oakley for her answer, by then Oakley had enough time to think and had decided."Alright, Bella, I accept your offer."
