Once you wake up, you find yourself in a small white room with a man dressed in a black suit. He had slicked-back blonde hair and emerald-green eyes. He was sitting at a desk with papers in his hands. He looked at you for a while and then started talking.

"Hello there. My name is Jonathan Baner, and I will be asking you a few questions. So how are you feeling?" he says, waiting for your response.

You try to speak, but then you suddenly realize how dry your throat is; it's like swallowing sand.

" Oh yes, they did say that you would be thirsty when you woke up," He says while still smiling.

He presses a blue button on the keyboard and starts to speak.

" Yeah, Stacey, could you please bring us a cup of water? Thanks. I know that this might be scary for you, but I promise you that if you cooperate, then everything will run smoothly."

The cold liquid soothes your sore throat, and you sigh in relief. However, you have so many questions. What the hell are you doing here? What is going on, and who is this guy in front of you? You needed answers, and you believed the best way was to cooperate.

"What exactly do you want from me?" you say.

"Oh wow, I was half expecting you to freak out or something, but I guess you would act this calm if you were used to this situation," he says, leaning closer.

You wondered what he meant by that.

"I'm sorry but I think you may have gotten me confused with another person. This type of situation has never happened to me before for any reason," you say

You didn't want to believe it before, but your situation had "It's because I know the hacker" written all over it. You realise that you're possibly here because they can't find Jake.

"Well, at least that is what your record tells us. Now, why don't we take a look at it? "

He pulls out a grey file with my name on it and proceeds to read out the content while walking around the room.

" You are Miss L/N, born in 1999. Both of your parents died in a tragic accident, so you lived with your aunt. You went to the University of LFG and got a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. After that, you got a job at Limb Tech Innovations as a Forensic scientist. Wow, you are a pretty impressive woman.

Now tell me why a smart, intelligent woman like you would associate yourself with a criminal?" He says, now seated and looking directly at you with his piercing eyes

"Associating with criminals does come with my line of work. Since I am a forensic scientist, I do sometimes have to go to court to give my opinion on certain cases." You say, knowing full well that was not the answer he was looking for.

Jonathan gives you a cold, empty smile that makes you feel uneasy, but you hide it well.

" Now listen here, Miss Y/n. Do not try to be smart with me. You know exactly what I mean when I say criminal, but it seems I need to spell it out for you." He gets out of his seat and walks towards me. He stands there, all tall and mighty, towering over you.

"Tell me where your hacker boyfriend is keeping the files?" Your facial expression turned from calm and unbothered to confusion. What files is this man talking about?

"What files?"

"Oh, it seems like you want to play dumb with me. Tell me where your good-for-nothing boyfriend hid those files!" He says, but with more aggression in his tone.

"I don't know what files you are talking about, please. I don't know what's going on," you decide to change your tone to a more desperate and sincere one.

He stares at you for a while with his pricing eyes.

"It seems you're telling the truth. Well, of course, he wouldn't tell you. He wouldn't want to put his precious girlfriend in danger." He says while laughing to himself.

"Well, it seems that I have to look for other options. Why don't you come with me?" he says as he leaves, and you follow, not having much choice in the matter.

After your small interaction, Jonathan takes you to a cell. It had only a small bed and a toilet.

"You will be staying here from now on... well, until your good-for-nothing boyfriend shows up," he says.

"How long am I supposed to stay here? I have friends and family waiting for me. They will know I'm missing." you said, frightened by your situation.

"Don't worry your pretty head about it" He says while locking the cell and finally walking away.

You sigh and cover your face with your hands, trying to stop the tears from pouring. You decide to lie on your small, uncomfortable bed and close your eyes, wishing Jake were here.
