Hi, it's been around 1 or so years since I've written more of this, but I'm back with new ideas! If anyone has suggestions, I will gladly consider them, but for now, enjoy!!!

Virgil was looking at his cast in the art classroom, staring at Roman's signature... specifically his last name.

Talon... Tal... that's a huge connection... I JUST MET HIM! It also could be his brother... but Remus said he has a soulmate he talks to. Y'know what? It might not ever be Roman! I could be a guy named Tal... Talcum? No, that's talcum powder. Tal... I give up. There's no point in guessing my soulmate after talking to them once.

Virgil slammed his head on the paint-splattered table of the art room when the chair beside him squeaked, a familiar princely sketchbook was on the table.

"Hey Stormy, you ok?"

"No, I'm dying and my throat is disintegrating- I'm fine, Roman..."

"Are you sure?"

"Yup- right as rain. I'm just tired and my arm is killing me."

"Hey, cheer up! We're gonna continue our sketches and it's due in 3 days, you have plenty of time to draw!"

"Yeah. And Mr. Thomas lets me be backstage crew instead of acting."

"You should audition! Think of the powerhouse team you, Pat, and I could be!"

"That's a whopping no."

"Awww c'mon Hot Topic, I bet you sing great!"

"Awww, you think I'm hot?"

"That's- that's not- n-no-"

Their teacher continued, started the class with announcements, and left the kids to their devices. The class soon filled with laughter, talking, and jokes as the Emo and Prince looked at each other, looking away swiftly with faint blushes on their faces as they drew for over an hour. The bell soon rang as Roman turned to Virgil.

"Hey, um... are you doing something after school, Vi?"

"Yeah, I'm cleaning backstage. It's my turn to organize things and clean the stage for tomorrow. Why?"

"O-Oh! No reason..."

"Ok, bye."

Virgil walked out to the auditorium, not noticing Roman following him...
As Virgil worked, he put in some headphones and listened to the Beetlejuice soundtrack, softly singing as he grabbed a broom. He only had to sweep the stage and was done, seeing as backstage was pretty much clean when he arrived.

As he swept, the song "Say My Name" blasted through his headphones. His steps got more jazzy as he sang louder into the dark auditorium, forming his voice into an impression of Beetlejuice. He took off his hoodie, kinda tossing it onto a chair in the audience with his bag, and continued smiling as he practically belted out the last line.

"I"M GONNA MAKE HIM SAY MY NAME!"

He breathed a sigh of happiness... then tensed as he heard clapping coming from a long distance as he looked around. A figure walked down the aisle of the auditorium... IT WAS ROMAN!?

"W-What are you... why are you here???"

"Well, I thought I would h-help in the beginning but I came and saw you singing a-and... I didn't want to disturb you... you sang great! I mean, really great- you sound better than half the class, I think..."

"Oh... u-um... thank you?"

"This is why you should audition, think of the talent you have!"

"I-I... I have to go."

Despite Roman's stammerings and protests, Virgil shoved on his hoodie and booked it out of the school... his mind going crazy. He thought he was alone, ALONE! Goddamn it, why did Roman have to be thoughtful and go to the auditorium!?

Um... it's currently 1:22 am in June of 2024? Hi, maybe? I want to finish this quickly so this story will be concluded within maybe 3 more chapters. Perhaps my writing has gotten less... weird because reading these chapters is actually pain for me T-T. If you're reading this, you're dedicated to reading a book that took 2 years to complete.
