I found this song when I was... depressed. You see, my female cat gave birth on April 21st, from 5:30 am to 6:30 am, stopping around 7. She had a total of 4 beautiful kittens, but, I should've been warned that when it's first litter and first-time mom, not all kittens live.
3/4 kittens passed away within the same week. The first one was the runt of the pack, then the other two die on the same day but at different times. The second one died when I was napping and the third one passed away right in my hands, I felt its life fading....I tried to save it best of my abilities but the third one didn't make it.
I felt like a failure, it's even heartbreaking when watching a mother crying for her babies, but She and I push on for the last survivor of her litter, at times, I still feel like I could've done more but my mom and Vet lady she has been talking to says it's normal for a first-time mother to lose kittens from the first litter. But it doesn't make it any less sad to see lives fading.
Anyway, the Last survivor of her litter is doing much better. He/she is starting to play and explore and soon, I will be feeding it mush and teaching it to use the litterbox soon. Btw, their name is Nike, after the Goddess of Victory, fitting name no?
This song is beautiful and full of emotions for people that love cats and that either been where I was or recently have to put a cat down due to age.
but for those who are not cat lovers and think it's amusing to see them hurt, try getting a cat or get yourself check out because Cats are just as adorable as dogs.
