Beep...Beep... The sound of a machine echoed in the room, and a few drops of artificial nutrients flowed down the clear tube, entering (Y/n)'s veins. She was only just discovered 5 days ago and still showed no sign of consciousness. As she laid in the clean white bed unconscious, her mind was filled with haunting dreams and memories of the past.

Fires and potholes littered the barren land as rain poured onto the mud below, filling up said holes with murky rain water that has been tainted by the soil. A girl stood in the middle of the chaos, surrounded by a pool of blood and fallen soldiers and monsters alike, their humane and inhumane blood mixing into an odd purple hue that just didn't look nor smell right. The girl didn't seem to be particularly looking in any direction, she seemed dazed, strands of (h/c) coloured hair stuck to her damp face and neck, clothes soaked in a mixture of sweat, blood and rain.

In the hospital room, (Y/n)'s head seemed to turn to different sides, small beads of cold sweat lining her forehead. When a nurse came to check in on her status, she had noticed the sweat and immediately took out a thermometer and took a reading. The unconscious girl's body temperature had raised a few degrees indicating that a fever was taking over her body, the nurse put down her items and walked out to go get a small tub of ice cold water and a fresh disposable towel. She sanitised her hands and put on latex gloves before starting to dip the towel into the water and squeezed the excess water out, gently placing the towel on (Y/n)'s head.

The nurse sat down on one of the empty chairs next to the bed, watching with solemn eyes that glinted with a hint of pity. Of course she felt pity, she had known (Y/n) since she was a baby, this nurse was basically that cool teenage babysitter that everyone loved and now that said babysitter was watching over her first client again over a decade later. (Y/n) laid still with no sign of consciousness, soft breaths could be heard through the oxygen mask that was strapped to her face. Just as the nurse was reaching out to grab the towel and dip it into the water again, the door slid open and a man walked in.

"How is she?" He asked, worry lacing his words. The man looked as though he hadn't slept for days on end, dishevelled locks of hair and untidy clothes. The nurse quickly stood up and bowed, keeping her head lowered as she reported the current status on his daughter. The man sighed softly, shifting past the nurse and sat down. He dismissed her and took care of (y/n) himself.

"Please...Wake up."

The man, Damien (I deadass can't rmb if I ever gave him a name guys) glanced at the girl lying in the hospital bed. His eyes softened, a weary look on his face, Damien's eyes seemed heavy however it wasn't long before he checked his watch and got off the leather cushioned seat. "I have to go to work, I will come see you tomorrow my child." Damien ran his rough and calloused fingers through (Y/n)'s hair before he left the room.

"Kafka, we don't have the time to be here." A low raspy voice bounced off the empty hospital hallway, the cold, white ceiling light brightly illuminating the sterile surrounding. The soft click of heels echoed through the busy staff, none of them were curious enough to lift their heads to check to see who it was as they navigated their way through piles of paperwork and files. An airy chuckle left a pair of soft, plum-tinted lips as she adjusted her loosely tied hair. "It'll only take a second Bladie, I just want to see how my muse is holding up and if she's even awake yet." She hummed before sliding past the room door and into (Y/n)'s hospital room.

Kafka walked around and admired at the disgustingly white and clean walls. She never had a liking for plain white walls it always gave her an odd feeling. The red wine haired woman waltzed over to the unconscious girl and reached out her gloved hand, the soft and delicate leather grazed against (Y/N)'s face.

"Seems like she's not awake just yet. Anyways, welcome home sweet girl."
