We have seen the new moon grow old together
Stretching its shadows across a whitened field
My beating heart endeavors to control the coursing blood
And in all of this hind sighting turbulence
The trust we have is our shield
Here at the time of new love's beginning
We light our candle's flame
I sometimes see you linger in the night sky
Along with the stars that aligned
And in your presence alone, the universe was tame
If I could learn a little how to die
While my body, mind and spirit still dance in unity
In this hour, the moon will be pale
And only the absurdity of love
Will open my wings and set me free
