                                              Dear April,
Will you take me back to where it all began?
When the Sun was gentle
Life was calm
And I still had things to look forward to.
Dear April,
You were harsh to me this year
Will you be kind to me in the next?
Take me to better places
And return the spark that I lost.
Dear April,
I long for you, but I'm scared
I feel undeserving of this new chapter in life
And I'm a coward who loathes change 
So please, hold my hand gently.
Dear April,
When this chapter ends
I hope to feel comfortable in my own skin
And I hope you give me a purpose in life
So that I won't be a burden anymore.
Dear April,
I love you.
