Chapter 12

Rue P.O.V.

Everybody was dancing to a traditional Esmondezian dance while others eat.

"So this is a traditional party, hmm?" Zed asked

"Yeah Ezra said is called "Ucran con arash" which in English it stands for "one last hope"" Alexis explained

"One last hope, why call it something so negative they don't know if it's the last one" Zed said

" let them be, besides we also don't know that Zed " I said Rook nodding in agreement with me.

"Hi!" A girl with long purple hair and yellow eyes like a cat came.

I looked up a little startled and nodded
"Hey" Alexis said
"Wassup" Zed said

"Umm Zed, do you wanna dance?" The girl asked.

Zed looks up a little startled he looks at me then to Alexis but quickly accepts. Alexis crosses her arms over her chest and grumbled something under her breath.

"What was that Alexis?" I asked her in a mocking way

"Hmm, oh nothing Rue don't worry about it everything it's fine" she said with a little of sarcasm

"Just the smell of whatever they're cooking over there is getting me dizzy that's all, I need fresh air" She said as she got up and walked away. Zed sees her walking away then he sees me with my mouth and hands I motion him saying "go after her" he nods at me and makes a motion to the girl that he needed to go, he starts running after Alexis leaving a really angry and embarassed girl on the dance floor.

Alexis P.O.V.

"What's wrong with me?, why all of a sudden I feel... I feel... " she keeps saying without finding a word to say

"Jealous?" Somebody said behind her
"Nooo, that's not it" then she realized she wasn't by herself  she turns around and sees Zed.

"Z-Zed what are you doing here?" She said

"Well I thought you needed some company, since... you know... we're in a different dimension and all... it can be dangerous out here..." Zed said while scratching the back of his head.

"Mjm! Sure, why are you really here?" Alexis said not getting convinced

"Look I came here to set things straight ok, I do like you I really do and like I said when we were falling , "Heck! I love you!", I didn't say it because I was about to die I said it because it is what I actually feel.... and I wanted to tell you before.... anything bad happened" Zed finally said

"I feel the same way Zed, I do, but how can I trust you, knowing you be behind every girl you see a-and now fighting the Newingtons in this dimension i-i...." she gets cut off by two hands holding both sides of her face she gets startled and looks up.

"Look Alexis you can trust me always and I know this fight can get in our way but let me tell you this, no thing or one will ever make me change what I think or feel about you ok, let me just show you how I feel about you..." Zed said as he gets closer to me till his lips touched mine I slowly closed my eyes as I melt into the kiss, I wrap my arms around his neck getting him closer to me, his lips felt so smooth and warm and it fits so perfectly with mine I wanted it to last forever.....
